Stan, give it some time. If it was a large file it may have just got hung up in the upload. Wait a while and it should appear. If it doesn't, delete it and upload again.

Why don't you just delete it and repost. If you size images at 72 DPI and 640 on the longest side as jpegs, they'll load easier, be just as clear and maybe you won't have these problems.

i see so many images that are bitmaps and must ne huge - on the screen anything over 72 dpi is a waste of bandwidth, no clearer and likely to have problems especially on a dialup.

if I am understanding this correctly, all you have to do is go to your members area and "recreate all thumbnails"....it takes a few minutes and the X should be gone

some sort of glitch I have encountered many times

the image is there, but for some reason it wouldn't show correctly, but recreating all thumbnails should fix it

Please give us the URL of the image (or ID number) so that we can recreate the thumbnail for it.

What happens is that the 'thumbnail' is the last step of the image processing script we have and depending on the website traffic, size of upload, file type, etc. sometimes the thumbnail is not created instantly.

However, we have a scrip that runs each night to fix these few problems and recreates the thumbnails if it's not there.

If this has not happened to your image yet, please give us the details, thanks.
