1) Complaining about 9's will is a crazy thing that will discourage many people that like to rate artwork here. If members are scared to rate anything lower than a 10, then what is the point of a RATING system. If you can't take a huge complement of an 8 or 9 on your artwork, then turn off your ratings right now.
2) If you get anything higher than a 5, the only e-mail reply that should be sent should be a complement or thank you. Do not ask for more feedback or for them to reconsider their rating, because it's only going to annoy to person you are asking. They would have given it to you in the first place if they wanted to.
3) A vote of a '10' should be very rare and they should only be given if you truly think that the artwork could not be improved upon. A perfect flawless piece of artwork is what is deserving of a 10.
Listen up people. We can't force members to give a wonderfully written constructive critique or complement on your artwork every time. We can suggest it, which we do, but we can't MAKE people do it. No matter what rating system changes we make, it will always be based on OPINION from that person, which we have no control over. Your artwork will be liked by some people and not liked by others you will have to be able to accept this if you want your ratings turned on. Unless you have always taken the grand prize on every art contest you have ever entered, you will realize that there is always room for improvement.
If you have your ratings turned on, you accept that you will get good and bad ratings, good and bad feedback as well as undeserved ratings (both too high and too low).
We will no longer allow people to fill the message boards of complaints over specific ratings of a specific person. If you have a rating issue, e-mail us about it. If you have a valid reason for the complaint, then we will remove the rating/comment for you.
