real projects

Hi! I already proposed once to make activities that will bring good benefits like an exhibition or a symposium so we can meet each other face to face and become more and more friends...if the idea is acceptable, we can manage the expences'problem by finding sponsors or contributing personnally...I'm personnaly ready for this, and I think we can find a lot of artists who can participate,if only 1% of us participate, this mean more than 90 artist will contribute! I'm just asking AW to think of this, to make some statistics and put an approximatly amout ,then propose it to the members ,and let's vote.

It would be an interesting concept, that's for sure. Unfortunately, we'd be excluding *TONS* of people (internationally) seeing as the exhibition would definitely be somewhere in the continental US. :)

I think it would be a good idea to try it though, at least once, just so see what happens and if there is any interest.

Another idea... would we be interested in *ONLINE* exhibitions. Actually juried in art contests/sales? Not just open to everyone, but judged by a panel chosen by AW to select artwork to put on display (somewhere on the main page of the site). A lot of sites do juried competitions that then require you to send your original artwork to the physical exhibition, but I don't see why we couldn't do the exact same thing but just have it online...

AW... what do you think? :)

I love your idea Ghada. It's been suggested before and there are ways to make it happen. I don't know if AW is quite ready to do it yet, but we should all keep the discussion going.

thank you for the interest...I believe that we have to do anything that can move us from virtual to physical actions, no matter how or where... I hope that AW take our suggestions for serious :)

We do think that a big gathering of some sort would be real fun. Right now we don't have the ability to put something like this together and have it be as successful as we want, but it is something that we would like to do eventually. Keep the discussion up.
