i've thought what might man accomplish if not for his constant pre-occupation with sex...and then realized without his preoccupation with sex man might not have gotten this far. hehehe!!
The shadows make them look like they are in a shallow depth diorama, more of a vertical wall behind them than a floor beneath them...do you see what I'm talking about? If you change that shadow that is vertical-looking, I think your depth of field will increase dramatically.
Just my opinion. Oh, and a few butterflies wouldn't hurt! (just kidding, I promise to leave this one alone!!!)
I'm gonna push you on this one...perhaps add more of them in the background (if they are nomadic, is there a herd?)...if they are asexual, do they reproduce by splitting like amoebas? Perhaps have one of them pulling a rotting carcass (I know you love the demented stuff). Tell your story here. Only two creatures just tells me there are a couple weird creatures...I want to know their story, too.
