Fractal artists

At the risk of offending anyone, I just have to get something off my chest here.... I hope you know me well enough to understand that I'm giving you my opinion and I'm not pointing fingers at any one person and I won't get upset or like you any less if you disagree with me. Well, I don't know how to sugar coat this, so here it goes:

I'm tired of looking at the same or similar images, colors and designs everyday. Is there a contest going on? Did I miss something? Is there a prize for who can get the most images up in one day?

With the trillions of mathmatical possibilities can't more time be spent on originality? These programs offer some of the most incredible color maps and possibilities of any other programs on the market today, yet so many images have the same colors.

The work doesn't end when you have your design. It's just beginning. What about smoothing the edges, fine tuning the colors, adding depth and shadows, and manipulating that image to come up with something that's truly unique and imaginative? You may wind up with something that looks nothing like your original image but it's "yours" and no one else can duplicate it.

Well, I think you get the idea of what I'm trying to say. Just think about it.... There's so much talent here. Allow yourself to "shine" and not get lost in the numbers. That's my main point, in a nutshell.

Hey Joanie!! I agree.I pass them by.I cant tell you how many images ive seen in the past month that look...exactly the same.Yours differs from that,I wanted you to know that....This is where I get a bit crabby about digital art,so I'm gonna leave it alone....Have a great day Joan!!!!

Thank you for the support, Sean. I'm concerned that I may have hurt some feelings but I did not know what else to do. I needed to express so I did, LOL.

..maybe some learn the numbers and process faster than others? I'm basic on fractal stuff.....numbers and art never did mix for me : )

Sher--compositional elements, the "Golden Mean" and Fibonacci progressions are ALL mathematics...even if you don't like (or want) to admit it, you have intuitively mastered math.

Fractured artists or Fragile artists I'm clueless when it comes to the math items in digital manipulation. Joans point is good for any of us to be reminded of. Whether it's a traditional medium or a computerized medium we should be trying to aim higher and not the same old same old. Agreed.

Like the red hair Joan. I wasn't too sure about the brown look but the red is cool.

...The Fibonacci progression certainly helped me in Vegas : )

Thanks, Martha. Would like to try a blue wig next, LOL. Sher, you're too funny.

.... forget the math. There's so many directions for digital manipulation with these images that I just think it's a shame all the resources available are not used more often. The only limits are our own imaginations when it comes to digital art and it's what makes the artwork personal.

Mulptiple Parsonalities? Neat! I'd like to have multiple personalities, but the voices in my head already stopped talking to me.

well I have a program nested inside my Coreldraw software called Julia Fractal but the couple of times I tried messing with it, it just locked up the computer probably computing an endless number of variables so I have left it alone. it has no instructions in my manual.

hello Martha..i have that one too... corel 8?

It took me a few hours to find out what the heck it did and how it worked..
