art or empty

this question just occured to me. is art still art if their is noone around to appreciate it? sorta like if a tree falls in the forest kinda thing. and did the artist give birth to art or the other way around?

yes. otherwise the national gallery collection would disappear every night

i asked a simular question before.."can an empty gallery be art"...its art if the creator calls it art..even if noone ever sees it
