We do not encourage cash payments sent through the mail. If you need to send money, send a money order or check.

However, you can also pay online if you don't want to sent payment via mail. Just use our DONATION page to make a random payment for any amount. Simply go to the following page:

http://www.artwanted.com/donate.cfm

And put your name and reason for payment in the 'Artist Specific...' box. Let us know if you have any other questions.

Great, thanks, that solves it. I did not know, this feature existed.

David Swales 11 Jul 2005

Hey

What a great idea. This site keeps getting better. Keep up the good work guys!

Kind Regards, David

Hey Joe B:

I and many others stuck with AW, because They never showed me that the dollar was their main reason for existing. Opening the gate to everyone would certainly not be in the interest of the membership.

Thanks AW

Bob MacPherson 11 Jul 2005

I think I would also like to say one more thing about AW. Of course some will see problems in the proposal. But I do not see this as something they are trying to sell us. Rather I see it as a service offered. I for one very much appreciate it. I think I have quality work, and have never been able to afford prints. Once again Thank you AW.

Bob:

I have always been very vocal in my support for AW and have even dontated money so please don't give me grief because I disagree with one of their rules.

Thanks!

Richard K 12 Jul 2005

The changes sound good! Hopefully it runs smooth as butter!

How about posting feedback from buyers and/or survey info gathered for us all to read? I'd be interested in that. Will we be able to proof the final image in any way other than the final file sent to you? How can we be assured of the quality of the image product?

ArtWanted.com Staff 12 Jul 2005

We will probabaly post the results of the feedback and we encourage anyone with good feedback on the print program to post it on our message boards as well.

As far as the print quality, we don't think that there is any other way to show this, then for you to see a print of your own artwork. We could describe the quality all day long, but you would really need to see it to make your own decision on the quality.

Fiona Hooper 12 Jul 2005

I have to say I agree with Joe - why not let all members sell prints on the site?

Fiona Hooper 12 Jul 2005

Ooops - just read through the rest of the posts and found AW's replies on the point of having to be a premium member. I'll have to pass on this for the time being then, although I would like to use the service.

jennifer blenkinsopp 12 Jul 2005

Thankyou AW, for reviewing the prices, they are now fair to the artists which charge more for thier prints, as thier work may take longer to do.

Bob MacPherson 12 Jul 2005

AW : Will you be posting a new print pricing table, based on the changes proposed (when retail price is double suggested retail price)?

Also, how do we get the contracts mentioned and everything needed to get started?

Bob MacPherson 12 Jul 2005

Joe B:

I am not "giving you grief" by disagreeing with you on a point, no more than you are by disagreeing on an AW point.

Fred Chuang 12 Jul 2005

Hope this isn't a redundant question...I suppose you'll update the service description if it is.

What is the method of reproduction? All I see is the "finish"...is it an ink-jet print?

I currently use Fuji-Crystal Archive for my printing...laser exposed, chemically developed, long-lived photo prints. I need to know how you make your prints to compare the relative value.

I like the idea though...very, very thoughtful ...something I have come to expect from Artwanted.com.

All the best, Fred

Just one question... If I sell a print and the buyer wants it framed or put on merchandise provides (cup etc...) if they are not satisfied with the product (like a bad framing job with slightly mismatching corners or a slightly crooked print on the cup) We as artist are covered correct? Whats the guarantee on the items? Curious to know. as I have several people interested in buying some of my stuff on merchandise already.

ArtWanted.com Staff 12 Jul 2005

The prints will be done with Fuji Hunt Chemicals on Fujicolor Crystal Archive professional photographic paper. This is a very high quality process that you would find in most pro-labs with a very long life before any fading could occur.

As far as customer satisfaction goes, we will make all efforts to create a quality product for our artists and buyers. There is no point to doing this program any other way. If there is a problem with our service that is our fault (bad printing, etc.) we will gladly remake the product and send a new one out to the customer. Each order is personally inspected before it's shipped out to the customer for quality. If a refund is ever issued to the customer, ArtWanted.com will have to return all money to the customer and the artist will not be paid a commission on this item.

On our reports, the artist will see 'pending orders' and 'completed orders'. Commission will be recorded once the order is 100% fulfilled and shipped to the customer.

Hope this answers your questions, let us know if you have any more.

Randy Schwanke 13 Jul 2005

This PERFECT!!! Exactly what I was hoping for.

Thank you.

Nancy Costley 13 Jul 2005

Here is a question, if I wait a couple of months with a free account, while I see how this service works for other artists will my images posted starting in August apply to these services when I do sign up for the services say three months from now? Or did I miss this question already?

Thomas Broadfoot 13 Jul 2005

Seems mostly positive outlooks but I am going to be a bit concerned with the negative comments especially the one by Betty on the non-payment of a mere $25.00 seems to give me the idea to proceed with caution.

Not that I dont' think it is a very good idea, and will participate but will keep an eye out for hiccups in the system.
