Major ArtWanted.com Update

ArtWanted.com has just updated our site with a large revision. This has been a major rewrite of all the backend code that powers our website and we have been working on it for the last three months.

During this process, every page of ArtWanted.com was rewritten and optimized with more efficient code to speed up the site. We have added some new menu items to the top of each page and have organized the pages better throughout the website. We have also added a 'Members Control Panel' that will allow you to navigate the members area much better. The biggest change that took place was a new image server we brought online and all images were copied to this new dedicated image server.

This was a huge project that we have been wanting to do for a very long time and we are happy that it's now live. Although most of these changes were done on the backend and not instantly visible to the members of our site, the effects of better performance should be noticed by everyone in the upcoming weeks.

It's important to note that the URLs of all images have changed, because they are now on a different server location. If you had links directly to your ArtWanted.com images (JPG/GIF files) on other websites, you will need to update these links so they are not broken images.

We ask for your patience over the next week as we work out the kinks of this major change. As you can imagine, when you move hundreds of thousands of images and rewrite hundreds of pages of code, there are bound to be a few bugs and broken images that creep up. We will be doing everything possible to fix these issues as soon as we see them.
