How long before we know if we made it into the calendar?

ArtWanted.com Staff 13 Feb 2006

For now, artists can only submit to one calendar.

However, on May 1st, you will be able to submit to multiple calendars, depending on how full they are at that time.

Those chosen for the calendar will be announced in September.

I just submitted a piece, and if i understand correctly, after i put in pre-order and pay for it first, then i can pick which date i want my piece to be on? is that right? please let me know, i'm a bit confused about that part. thank you Jane

ArtWanted.com Staff 15 Feb 2006

Yes, this is correct.

Sonya Fedotowsky 15 Feb 2006

Submission guidelines say that horizontal is prefered to verticle. All my art is verticle. Can I crop a horizontal piece of one of my paintings to submit, kind of like a zoom in, as exampled here from my Violet Fairy painting.

Sure thing, that would be great.

Amanda Holtman 15 Feb 2006

The photo that I summitted has recently been edited and looks a lot better then the one you guys got for the calender. Is it possible to change my photo?

Sina Geiß 16 Feb 2006

Sorry, but I am still a bit confused. Shall we pre-order first or may we submit first, if we want to pick a specific date? Does it matter? Thanks.

ArtWanted.com Staff 16 Feb 2006

Yes, you can update your photo anytime until we go to print with the calendar in the fall.

It does not matter if you upload or purchase first, you can do either.

erika bissonnette 21 Feb 2006

Cant wait for the calendar!

Mandy Roberts 28 Feb 2006

So submissions will actually be selected for the calendars? I guess I'm asking because I want to prepare something new, but don't want to miss out due to a first-come-first-serve type thing. Does that make any sense? I guess what I'm asking is do people who turn their images in closer to April 30 have just as good a chance or are you just guaranteed a spot no matter what you submit as long as you submit it early?

Sabina Kramle 07 Mar 2006

Hi, just wondering how much it will cost me to have the calender sent to Sweden? And am I guaranteed to be in the calander if I buy one? By the way thanks for this amazing place!

If you preorder a calendar, your artwork will be included (as long as it meets our guidelines).
