Back again. Not to be deterred, I tried the upload again. Yes! it worked, although it didn't show a thumbnail. Then, I went to atttach it to my existing portolio file and got this error message: ERROR DETAILS: error.template: /members/upload2.cfm error.HTTPReferer: http://www.artwanted.com/members/upload2.cfm?Print=1098&Ext=jpg&TempFile=1098.jpg error.diagnostics: Timeout period expired without completion of E:\Program Files\ImageMagick-6.2.3-Q16\identify.exe The error occurred on line 63.

How could it time out when I watched it go through?

Now, what? Does this mean that the huge file I just uploaded is not on your server? Do I have to do it all again?

Just wanted to let you know I tried uploading a different image and it went through with the thumnail, this time, but still got the same error message.

Thanks for the notes Stuart. We will look into this and try and find out why our site doesn't like your large files.

Thank you, AW. You may also want to check the reply software, as I didn't send the second repeated reply.

I've just uploaded a couple of images of the same picture one in thumbnail and one full size, the thumbnail printed over the other not. I got a message saying it should be in RGB but all the images I've uploaded successfully to date were in CYMK. The problem of course is that the latter is 32 bit and the former 24 and so images are smaller in size and hence will be smaller as prints.

The image I uploaded in full by dropping onto your beta program is 16mb but when I converted it to RGB in Corel PhotoPaint, it went down to 502kb which of course would be far too tiny to produce a good size print for sale.

I would appreciate your advice, as I've really looked forward to being able to at last load decent images having changed to Tiscali ISP so as to be able to upload the larger files.

Thanks and Regards,

Peter Joe Beard

Very cool. Worked great for me with 13 files in a new "wedding" folder. :]

I am completely frustrated. Using your single picture upload I am able to upload small jpg's and gif's. I can not upload any large files--I get an error: "The attempt to load 'Accessing URL: http://www.artwanted.com/members/prints/UploadPrint.cfm?id=292968&SavePrint=Yes' failed". I tried using the multiple file upload first uploading file baker.tif. It uploade but there was no information of what to do next. It's as if it vanished into thin air. Then I tried using the "multiple file upload" to upload two images: marilynmonroe-tangerine.gif and marilynmonroe-tangerine.tiff. Both images uploaded but again there was no information of what to do next. I have also personally delivered to your UPS PO Box a CD with the high def pic "baker.tif" and also mailed via Express Mail a CD with the high def pic "baker.tif". I have emailed several times with a response saying "you'll look into it" then no answer as to what is going on. Please end the madness. I've done all I can do. What are you going to do to get my images on-line and available so I can sell prints?

Please, please help me.

I can't get this to work! I dropped 5 files and all I get is a larger view of the first picture and its root is C:\Documents and Settings\Ginger Olansen\My Documents\My Pictures\Work On\New Folder\Art Wanted Comp Art 06001.jpg.

The file say it is done! I know I have Java on my xp. Am I doing something wrong????

I have used the drag and drop feature - dropped the files into the box - watched them upload - then NOTHING - where did they go - how do I fund them Thanks

Linda Shelton 19 Apr 2006

I cannot get the thing to work. I drag and drop one, and it just takes forever then it doesn't ever complete the process. I am having the same trouble with uploading to the Print Area. In two hours I have been able to actually upload one. They are all from the same disc and gif. or tif. files just won't take them.

We first suggest that you try using the multipel file upload with a small JPG file, just to test that it works on your system. Once you know it works, then you can start increasing the number of images you try, or the size of the images.

When you upload large images on any site, there is a chance for a broken connection or packet, which will cause errors uploading and our site is no different. However, we have seen people upload multiple files that are over 100 meg without any problems, so we know that it should work for everyone.

If you continue to have problems, you may need to send us a CD of images, but you only need to do this as a last resort.

28 April I've made at least four attempts to upload the print size file and each time it goes to your 'oop' screen. Possibly a glitch I look forward to your advice

Peter Beard 01 May 2006

Quite frequently when loading files larger than 20mb but sometimes less, and always larger than 10mb, I get the attached notice and it says in the upload java device some errors have occurred whilst uploading the file. And yet, all the files, I am currentl uploading have been uploaded before without any changes to their structure. As always, I look forward to your advice so that I can take any necessary action to improve the situation. Thanks and regards Peter

Hi..I've been trying to upload a couple of new images for the past week and I think I have gotten about every error mssg imaginable! I have gotten the "java socket" error, "time out", "unauthorized to upload files" etc... I have tried emptying my cache on my browser and reloading. I dont have any luck with any of this...I dont normally have a problem using the service, but now I cant even upload anything! Can you tell me what might be wrong? Thanks!
