Really and truthfully, why does everyone keep bringing it up like the issue matters, and why does everyone keep feeling obliged to make decisions about AW based on their views of Nudity in Art ????????

I don't know anyone from here or in life who has upped sticks because some other idiots kept banging and banging and banging the Nudity Drum.

There is some pretty good stuff in this thread, yet once again NO ONE wants to know or stick to the point.

I'm lucky, I severed the umbilical cord to this place a while back, but in truth, it hurt deeply. I miss "wanting" to see my mates and talk idle chatter about trivial things like art and why it makes me happy. I miss being able to talk about my life and my kids because some jerk is gonna get his rocks off on using it as ammo to launch an attack.

UNITY my good people will keep the Lurky Troll Bots at bay on here, UNITY like no where else on the web.

UNITE, and turf them out. FLOOD "their" posts with anti whatever their post is, and I mean FLOOD.

Just drown the buggers out, and they WILL leave, leave normal folk to get on with normal everyday boring things that allow us to wind down after a hectic session in the Rat Race.

The rest..................well as this site proves, Diversity in thought and opinion is a GOOD thing, so long as its doesn't become personal fueds that affect many others.

I challenge anyone to leave this place and NOT come back :)

Pro AW.............only to a point. Personally I'll go into any rat infested watering hole without fear or trepidation to see my mates, but I prefer to see my mates under less stressful conditions.

Drinking in Boxing Rings comes at a price my friends. AW is not yet a Boxing Ring, but sometimes it comes close.

Bring in the Bouncers...............real heavyweights ;)

I say " chase the Lurky Troll Bots off here for good ", then there might be some peace and quiet again, and the likes of James would probably still be here, none the more upset about the Nudes of AW :)

Be cool friends, but try for once to clean this place up, before it becomes a cesspit like EVERYWHERE else on the WWW.

We appreciate all that have spoken on this topic. We value all opinions of our members, and this is why we asked for them in this post. We have read every reply and we will continue to read all of the replies posted about this topic.

We realize that there is no perfect solution that will make everyone happy, but if we do things that the majority of our members want, then we feel we are heading in the right direction.

Some of you are asking for a 'decision' from our staff, but this topic is less than 2 days old and making a decision now would be done too quickly. Although there have been many people to read and respond to this thread (which is what we wanted) we feel there are still many other members that have yet to comment on the topic. Making quick decisions is always a bad idea, so we want to continue to listen to what you all have to say for a while longer, before we make any policy changes (if any are even made).

We love to see a good discussion and this is what the message boards are all about. We hope that if we accomplish anything from this post, it's that everyone realizes we are all here because we love art and the more we can get along on the boards, the better this community will be.

Yeah I would have left anyway, Anthony, once my images started getting targeted by the "keep it clean people" and systematically removed from my gallery.

Is the nude thing a big issue, well yes when I believe that some of the most beautiful and finest pieces of art contain naked human elements.

The thing is, I always associated art with freedom of expression.

This site goes against that belief, not only that, it proclaims my views as somehow corrupt and labels me as a trouble maker

A website that holds a poll and throws a rope to the crowd for a lynching....is to me I'm afraid... very uninspiring!

I didn't make it through all the posts (whew!), but one of the things I appreciate about this site is that there is not a huge amount of censorship. The "other site" takes that particular policing to an extreme, in my opinion. I vote that so long as set rules are not being broken, let people speak their minds. I think the negative posts reflect on the poster, not the postee.

No insults are allowed at this forum, I know from personal experience that groundless and senseless remarks about my art have hurt my feeling a lot. Such people should be definitely eliminated from the forum. We should do our best to keep a nice and friendly atmosphere here!

This is my opinion,--- all this is a waste of time, The ONLY solution to this ----is to appoint two moderators, AW does not intervine enough when these "discussions" turn nasty,There are plenty of artists here which have offered this service, I have read through these comments this morning, and in my view AW should appoint one from each side of viewpoint. Maddison is a new member and has good communication skills, and also Gaylor has offered her services in this, and also Lisa,Let us not carry on with these stupid votes any longer, none of us want anyone banned, but at the same time don,t want to see all the arguments and backstabbing, and those trying to run this site thier way.

ya know on a long enough timeline everyone would get banned. those who make trouble and complain today could find their roles reversed in the future depending on the topic.

on another note, what about a vote on the nudity issue? as AW just stated:

if you stand behind what you've just stated then it seems a vote would be in order considering the recent debates on the topic. if this is actualized then it would also be important to word the question carefully. i could imagine poor wording causing flaws in the vote for example "do you feel the nudity ban is just?" the answer to this could count those indifferent as supporters of the ban. maybe an appropriate way to question it would be " would you oppose the lifting of the nudity ban if it were done tastefully?" just my opinion. i hope this doesn't mark me as a trouble maker.

Huh! Trouble maker!(NOT A POSITIVE WORD).Is it a habbit?OHH..some people so..hahahaha.Wisely they say..When you are pained by the habits, so deeply, don't justify your habits. Usually, what we do is justify our habits. Without justifying, if you really feel the pinch of the habit, "oh this habit of mine is eating me up! I am really fed up with it!" when you come to that point, that pain of that habit becomes prayer to you that moment, habit drops. For you don't go to that extent of intensity of feeling the pain drop. The habit goes away after more meditation(rest to mind). Proper company, restrictions in your attitudes are way towards it, or keeping yourself busy in some creative work will also change the habits.And ofcourse we have a wonderful asset CELEBRATION.Just celebrate life as it is..haha

well if nothing else comes from this post I hope staff sees how easy and sudden being named a "troublemaker" can be. A question was asked and bam -your the troublemaker in some members eyes - now ya see ?? On these people that dont' like the attitudes and comments of some members -tell them not to read them -their choice , but to choose to read them and then bitch to you -wtf ?? The diversity of attitudes and comments and opinions are what make the world an interesting place . My choice is #1, and just like Pete said it.

As several have mentioned if all trouble makers are banned.. in time all should be banned.

This is repetitive but a sure-fire way to rid yourself of unpleasant threads? The backspace button! Click! It's gone! There are plenty more threads to click on and if you don't like those.. you can start your own!

My vote is for the backspace button. Is that #1?
