Sean - I wasn't singly you out to attack you - I just wanted to illustrate that there are people here who really dislike one another and that it's not just blatant troublemaking. Pete's point about the fact that it's just a discussion board is really the main issue. They are a place to offer opinions, ideas, debates and to have fun not a place to psychoanalyse anyone else or go on an ego trip. I post on very few discussions mostly those that have people I already know posting or it's a topic I really have thoughts on. I consider many of you my friends and I value what you say.... I miss people if they don't post for awhile. Some of the really colorful and outrageous threads really brighten up my day and I need to be around you guys periodically because I do need to lighten up.

I really think we need to have respect for each other on the forums not rules to lash each other into submission. Heck we all lambasted ball point king and he hung around anyhow, started acting all polite and commenting on other peoples works and settled into the site, hung up some of his ball point pictures and it's turned out pretty good so far. Troublemaker today solid citizen tomorrow. Everybody has times when they mess up but it can be turned around.

For those times when you really need to be very outspoken you can go bashplanet.

You are so right Marty; -- If we could all do that.

And James M, What's this all about? You can open up some where else, but you don't have to leave here to do it. Bad enough that I talk like that. Stick around! At least when you and I differ, no fur flies. Might be because I don't have any. Haaa!!! These other guys have pulled it all out. Haaa!!

James McPartlin 13 Apr 2006

I must apologise for being such a drama queen with my exit post!

I just wanted to express how I feel before leaving, and I feel quite strongly...not about this site but about the people I'm leaving behind!

People who I believe have passion and commitment to there work beyond the constraints of this site, the people who really have a feel for artwork and appreciate their own talents as well as others.

I will miss the beautiful bloody minded people who give as well as they are given, the people who say what they mean without caring a rat's arse what anyone else thinks.

Real artists are people who do rebel, they did this in the last century and where vilified for it, they starved for their art in many cases for Christ's sake!

I for one will not be watered down, neither will I walk a never ending circular line for the amusement of a site that cares nothing for the growth or enrichment of the artistic spirit.

Keep well and keep on keeping on

James

Damn...All I can say is James and I have known eachother for about 4 years,we both joined epilogue about the same time.I have never met a kinder more giving person that never had a bad word to say to anyone. We have been out of touch for awhile but when I see someone of his caliber and character leaving...There is a problem.I'll see ya at Epi dude....Truly a shame and a loss to AW....

Vicki Yeager 13 Apr 2006

This is sad.Your a big inspiration to alot of us , James. I'll see you on Epilogue.. Are you listening AW???

joan warburton 13 Apr 2006

:(

Kathi Perry 13 Apr 2006

Very sad! :( :(

Linda Eades Blackburn 13 Apr 2006

AW must be having a lot of fun, being the trouble maker this time and starting a thread that they know will cause so much argument. Shame on you AW!

Jessica Morgan 13 Apr 2006

Dear AW, we are having alot of trouble here. It's time to make a decision now please?

eileen martin 13 Apr 2006

Vicki Yeager 13 Apr 2006

What's the score AW? Upset enough people yet ...?

invisible 13 Apr 2006

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Kathi Perry 13 Apr 2006

At this point it does appear that AW may be the biggest troublemaker of the site. Can we please get some sort of resolution? Unless this has just become a big game to see how many people will quit, or how many site friends start turning on each other?!

I feel that it is good to have a forum for artists to exchange thoughts and ideas about artwork and give artists a forum to express themselves. But flame wars do no good. They only take and make other members sink to a low level. If a member attacks another member I feel that the person doing the attack should get a warning about his or her behavior. They then have a choice to comply or not be allowed to post on the message boards. Sometimes when someone expresses their opinion they are angry and not thinking as they normally would think. I would over look one bad post by a member but if they continue with their bad and obnoxious posts then ban them from the message boards.

I feel it is healthy to have a message board where members can exchange ideas and thoughts about art but when someone is singled out and attacked for expressing their opinions then the immature people who use this fine forum for hate must be removed so that other members can feel safe when they have an opinion that they would like to share with others. Some people have a fear about posting a message on a message board because they might think that they will get a rude response to what they want to say.

I have also read at this forum where some people just dont like other people and what ever one person says there is someone just waiting to put that person down. Those are the ones that I would keep from replying to the forum because they are just up to no good and just like to post to aggravate the member that they dont like. I call them the immature members who need a hobby.

There will always be trouble makers at any message board. So if I were the AW moderators I would first identify the current trouble makers, and tell them that they need to clean up their act. Hopefully this will get their attention. And when the new trouble makers come in and start harassing the good members who post their ideas and thoughts tell them that they will be banned from the message boards just like others like them have been banned before them.

It will be up to the moderators to define who is a trouble maker and just someone blowing off steam. When the moderators come up with a TOS policy they should make all of the members adhere to it.

yeah! #200....(you win a free top ten trophy cup)!

Laura Smith 13 Apr 2006

Well this is the first time I've viewed this thread at all.. (I don't peruse this forum very often)

The best solution is for people to stop sending complaints to AW. If you don't like a post...ignore it and it will find it's way to the bottom. Go peruse the very last pages of the forums and you will feel silly about how quickly it is long gone. Not worth the time... nothing to see here.. move along.. =}

#1 Please.

Pete Miller 13 Apr 2006

HAR matey....thars a mighty wind a blowin!!!HAR!!!

Karen Godin 13 Apr 2006

HAR????? hahaha... oh my... Pete, you are amusing - lol

AW...we're going in circles here. It's your call, do what you will - and so will everyone else, no doubt! ;)
