Thanks Leigh.

I don't mind paying for results, and a proven plan of action. Show me one, or stop asking for money. I'll give you a hint...there isn't one in place now.

good to know I guess, but unfortunantly, I plan to repain free, still young and I need to put my money towards other things, like karate gear before I shatter my leg kicking.

It is a small price to pay to have my art exposed on the net.So it's down for a day big deal!It is usually on 24 hrs a day and for 50.00 bucks or so for a year or what ever that works out to pennys a day. It's progress not perfection !thank you Art wanted ps I'm glad it's art wanted and not me the way it used to be ..

Wonderful work, AW. We all understand server downtimes.

As far as $$: I've been here for over a year, not very active, but I want to be more active. Time is an issue with me. I've spent time on my website and cafepress store. I spent money there to increase sales. I left another site where I was a paying member. They really offered me nothing much more than non-paying members. In essence, if more were offered here, I would consider. But since I have my own gallery to post my art, and my own store, this place, as many other art communities, is a place to hang out periodically, get ideas, make some friends, share techniques, etc. and help expose our artworks. You need to consider what this site's main principle of existence is. Is it a community-based site for sharing ideas, tutorials, etc? Or is it a for-profit art-selling site? Both? It IS difficult to have both when you offer free and premium memberships. So, I think you should consider making this a premium member only site and have more goodies for those members OR introduce ads and decrease limits on non-paying members.

[/end my two cents]

Great site, btw... with TONS of potentials. Keep up the great work.

I feel the membership fee is a small price to pay - I hope more members pay up!

However, (you knew I'd say this) - I am peeved about the lack of promised contests. It might be better if you just fess up and say there will only be 10 a year or something - I'd rather have you do that than keep promising and not "doing".

I love this site, I don't sell enough paintings to make a living from my art but i would love to sell posters. I believe this site is a good place to be... with more money and less dead accounts Get rid of dead accounts and you will go up much faster (I don't mean to get rid of free accounts as long as they are real artists and active, artists are often starving) it would grow to become one of the best artist website to be on. Another thing... why don't you get some banners from sponsors Dick Blick or else... or have VIP accounts listed on every pages... I am quite sure that a VIP accounts could interest more people if they were listed permanenty ___ Anyways I am sending my cheque for a one year trial to see if this site can realy sell something for me and pay back for my contribution.

G'Day all, I took up the free offer at the beginning of this month and to date have had 568 hits. Not to bad considering the art I put up was already sold and this was my way of me testing the traffic on this site. Am I going pay the small amount for Premium Membership $39/year? You can bet your boots that I will. This is great value and and deserves supporting and due to currency differences I am paying about $12.00 extra. Get behind it and support the people that are supporting you. Bob Riddell.

Life is stressful enough!!! You get to post ALL OF YOUR WORK here for $5.00!! a month plus all of the great support with other artists. You get to market this site just about any way you want with business cards and the like. I also think you can link it to other sites as well!!! Spend time concerning yourself with other art relatated matters witch may very well include more profitable ways to sell it, but what a bargan!!! I feel that the free membership should go and that maybe $7.00 a month would still be a "bleep" on your credit card statement each month. Get the income you need to improve and keep going.

Maybe I missing a point but increasing price of gas doesn't guarantee increase of selling products at all. If selling level is runing below costs of production the company faces bancrupcy faster or later. So.. I think we need to give artwanted staff a full credit to build new extra tool on our web site to improve our selling. I'm talking about serious investment by all-only premium membership holders. My proposition is to create life auction for us so Artwanted could colect some more extra money for each bited product and easy pay for increasing costs of hosting. Of course free accounters will be not allowed to participate in this auction until they'll become premium members and pay fee for account. Maybe this idea to sell artwork by bid is better than to hold them into galleries cover by cyberdust. thanks,
