I don't think this is about being over sensitive at all, of course some are, it's the cruel words that harm that this is all about. They don't belong here. There are some who live for war and gossip that is harmfull that is what I think it is all about. Come on now, it's too easy to distinguish between the two now isn't it?

What I see is a lot of people with a lot of different points of view. Someone may say something that may anger someone else without even intending it to anger them. Some people post things in the forum that come across the wrong way and maybe they didn't intend it to, but others take it wrong. If someone makes you angry send them an email and ask them to explain it, I don't think it is fair to the rest of the site members to walk on eggs around members who have gotten their feelings hurt and haven't confronted that member personally. Apparently someone did hurt your feelings Katrina, but maybe if you just email them and ask them where their head was at when they posted the reply you may get it straightened out without having to get AW involved. Just a suggestion. :) I know there are some here who just don't get along but banning people or getting them kicked off is really not a fair way of running the site.

just came upon this post. It was the first time I had seen it. I felt compelled to say, at least something..... So...I read almost all the replies. I must say, it was an interesting read.

The last time I checked, we were still in America. We are all immigrants of this beautiful country. Our ancestors came here for freedom from oppression.

I have been accused of being "the leader" of "the gang". Everyone knows I am not!

The REAL problem is the whiners! In order to be an "artist", you MUST have a tough skin. Reading anything on these message boards, is always a CHOICE. It is fun to participate in this community. If you get rid of the, so called trouble makers, you will loose most of the MORE intelligent folks. It's just silly for the others to get offended by ANYTHING..........

I'm a professional ARTIST, I have been one probably longer than some of these artists that are complaining, have been alive. I've seen it all. The winers have insulted MOST of us & then accused us of......what? Because they can't take a little criticism? That is bazaar! I think we all know who they are, the complainers.......

If you are offended, stay off the boards! No one forces anyone to read the posts. Most of the time we are just having fun anyway.

So, there's my two cents. Well, maybe 22 cents......LOL I think I agree with #1. Tell the whiners to suck it up.

Thank you very much...yours in creativity,

Debra Ann Kasimakis

ENOUGH SAID,^ THIS IS WHAT CAUSES ARGUMENTS.----------------------------

If you get rid of the, so called trouble makers, you will loose most of the MORE intelligent folks.

I have a thought.

How many ACTIVE posters do we have on the boards? Fifty? A hundred?

What about this....if 3/4s of the actively participating members on the boards email one complaint each on another member, then you ban that member?

After all, it's the members that are active on the boards that receive the 'brunt' of personality conflicts that pop up, so shouldn't they be the ones who make the determination of who the 'trouble-makers' are?

Multiple complaints by one member about another wouldn't count but as one complaint. Active members are those who post daily or several times a week, not those that pop in once a week or month.

Seems that would solve the whole banning 'trouble-makers' issue. Not all of us view certain members as such, so getting a majority consensus just to get someone banned because you personally don't like them won't happen.

Just a thought...and appointing a couple of public mods for emailing complaints to, so that an accurate count can be kept would most likely be a must. =) (I'm not really eager for the position of doing that, but I volunteer my time, if it'll help out)

No offense to those who don't participate on the boards and who've offered their opinions, it just seems that those who do use the boards regularly should have the 'say' in the matter.

DebraAnn Kasimakis 17 Apr 2006

Well....excuuuuse me. Intelligent people don't get that offended by humor!

jennifer blenkinsopp 17 Apr 2006

Also intelligent people THINK before they speak.

DebraAnn Kasimakis 17 Apr 2006

Yeah...........I did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jennifer blenkinsopp 17 Apr 2006

Obvoisly, not hard enough.

DebraAnn Kasimakis 17 Apr 2006

I live what I say...I think very long & hard about it. But, it is true, that it is difficult to really know how someone means something if you cannot hear or see them.

Katerina Koukiotis 17 Apr 2006

Thank you Jen so much for pointing that out :) I'm afraid the above poster doesn't realize she goofed up BIG time,..lol And it shows why she is indeed a troublemaker, she even admits it.

And i think AW has all the proof they need to make a decision what to do about this situation and these individuals who go out of their way To make trouble. Well, according to her logic in order to be a good artist we should act out and behave like she does a .....an admitted troublemaker. I feel so much shame for them that words can't even describe.

Katrina thank you so much for supporting positiveness I'm glad there are still artists out there and who had the courage to speak out about this I know they are many more who are fed up with the bullies and troublemakers and who are keeping silent because they are afraid of attacks they may receive.

The forums are there for ALL the artists to enjoy when they chose to, they are not just there for a selected group who go on a bully ranging rants. and a reminder AW it's not just a place for Americans there are artists here from all over the world and everyone deserves to be treated with respect when they decide to post in the forums whether they are regular posters or not. No one should be attacked or bullied. You don't have the right to do that.

I'm so proud and stand by every word i said because i speak the truth and i support what is right.

And if I said anything that brings forth any positive changes that will make me very happy.

DebraAnn Kasimakis 17 Apr 2006

Yeah....................................

All the proof they need.

"I speak the truth and i support what is right." Are we supposed to kneel???

Maddison Jamison 17 Apr 2006

Oh, this is so sad. You who have posted all this back and forth on this page are perfect examples of what "not" to do on the boards. Pardon me for saying, but you are all being rude.

Gayla, Katerina, your comments and suggestions are right on target and worthy of consideration.

Everyone else, carry on with your little word wars. It should only help prove to AW they need to take action.......NOW!!

does "ad nauseum" have any application here?

Chris Hoffman 17 Apr 2006

Lorem she created that cute picture, but I see there is absolutely nothing in your gallery to offer...so what do you have to offer just your brilliant comments? Yawn...

17 Apr 2006

Bo Fransson 17 Apr 2006

"ad nauseum"..indeed!
