OK. If you guys are all so mad at those two why don't you pull your funds together and file suit against them? If anything you could nail them for posting your words on their site because the things you type... even on a public forum... are your words. Such a case is not considered criminal, thus guilty beyond a reasonable doubt would not need to be established. They would be guilty because your words are on their site.

AW could file a lawsuit against them as well. Especially if there is proof that their actions have caused members to leave or have caused others to think differently about the website. You just can't attack a business like that in the United States and no judge would support their bully claims because... to be frank, those claims are just childish especially when it is safe to assume that some of the more violent threats some of us have had over the months may have came from them.

In this type of case they would stand little chances of winning and they would have to pay for all the court costs. So let them hang themselves with their own words. I've been to that site once and send an offensive images. That could get them nailed as well if sent to the right agency.

AW I never partipated very activly on the GDB but did enjoy reading it while having my coffee in the morning or just taking a break while painting and occassionaly I did post on a topic. However if you are going to bring the boards back just do it if not just say so and we can move on. The GDB was actally one of the attractions here for a lot of members there are lots of sites you can put up art with great services but there is no interactions with other Artists. Don't dangel the GDB around like a carrot like we have to see if you can behave. We are all adults we know things got out of hand a lot you let it go on sometimes for days your monitors could have stepped in. Instead many times you banned the wrong people like now you are planning to let the real trouble makers come back even so you know the openly mocked AW and there members on the internet. You always say that on only 5% are paying members well a lot of them have left or gone to free membership I don't know how this works for you.

The most important rule in AW boards: The sense of humor is forbidden.

I'll break this rule. My publisher made my day in the morning by sending this joke to me. Although my poor English, I truly hope it will be understandable:

A woman gives birth a girl.

Doctor says: -Sorry. The baby has a trouble. He/she is hermaphrodite.

OMG! -replies the mother- what do you mean?

Doctor: -She has the "thing" of a man and the "thing" of a woman as well.

Mother: -What do you mean? One penis and one brain?

:-)))))))))

For the record

I've never been banned in three years.

I have never been warned to stop doing something by staff

I've never blasted anybody here or on any other site.

I am a member of other sites including discussion sites and some have former AW people as members too but we don't waste time talking about this site. Everybody I know is involved in doing shows or planning events together and getting websites going. That's what we talk about - stuff that is interesting. There's nothing to discuss from here that has anything of relevance to my life or anybody else's that used to belong to this site.

So people loudly proclaiming that anybody who doesn't like the GDB must be covertly running off to tell others what goes on here is laughable because there is nothing new to tell and hasn't been for over a year...........

Except that Charles and Susan are getting together. That was exciting and interesting to me and some that knew them.

However the nonsense and emotional outbursts and drama queen messages are by now pretty standard for AW posters. Not new not exciting and definitely not worth telling anybody else about.

The people I know who used to be a part of this site don't even bother to post replies to any discussion that touches on AW and the current state of affairs anymore. Most people lose interest in the shenanigans going on here within a week after leaving.

Some of you need to look at the 12 step motto to: Let go and let God.

You aren't in charge and throwing multiple tantrums won't change the reality. You all have reaped what you sowed. Anger, discord, rebellion against authority.... what did you expect? a reward for being out of control?

And yet you seem so self righteously indignant because somebody named Nina is talking about you on a website and yet you talk about her and refer to her constantly. So it's somehow okay for you all here to talk online about her and her friends but it's not okay for her to talk about you all?

Let it Go.........

Everybody seems to think everybody is talkin about them. I haven't seen anything directly inferred upon anyone only their own inferences to themselves. Lighten up folks but, not to the point you set yourselves on fire.

You said it so well, Renate! My sentiments. I want AW back too, Martha. I sigh every time I feel like I'm begging AW to come to their senses and return OUR GDB. So funny, Armando!

Charles Oliver 21 Jun 2007

Whether the GDB returns or not we still all have the power to communicate here regardless of whatever category the board may be. Posts are made, they wander and lead to other discourse that have nothing to do with the original threads topic. It's organic. A constant ebb and flow of banter that leads in all directions. The entire forum is nothing less than a general discussion board that happens to have arbitrary categorizations that have little if nothing to do with the stream of conversation.
