I don't have much time to comment, but I found a lot of fun commenting when I did have time. I never made a connection with the top ten and comments, I guess. But I have found it fun to be commented on also. Best not to have a top ten, and just truly enjoy this great site!

I will miss the top ten in a way. It was motivational really. It was a way of seeing how I do, since this is the only place I can get such good responses.

Since I've joined I found myself improving on my art and my photography with those who do such beautiful pieces here. It makes me want to give my best at all times.

It make sense and I agree that if you dont count the small thumbnails as a hit it is more accurate and I would prefer to have more accurate stats of course.

re: TOP TEN - I think the top ten was great because it added a little bit of extra excitement to the site and something extra to keep people enthused about the site. Please bring back the top ten or something similar!

Thanks AW!

My concern is that the site was updated / upgraded to improve SALES, however we now discover that the "real" traffic levels are so low that sales are highly unlikely, especially when you consider that most of the people who actually view are other artists who are not in the market place for Art anyway. It also appears to me that many of the changes are actually aimed at forming an Artists community, which is welcome enough, but what positive action is AW taking to increading the traffic to the site ?

While on my soapbox, I think it would make sence for AW to keep an eye on the groups to eliminate duplication. There is already several cases if AW merged these groups maybe with dual Admins, after all the aim is to improve site navigation not make it worse.

I like to look at things simply.....

The new look of art wanted is wonderful......

Hit numbers are more specific this way...I like it.

It is summer.....a lot of people are away vacationing as they should be. Traffic will be down.

What matters is the way our work is presented and you have done a wonderful job here! i AM THRILLED WITH THE NEW LOOK!

SUGGESTION FOR HITS AND COMMENTS I am on another website which has an excellent statitistics system set up. When I add an image it is immediately sent out to all their subscribers.

The system shows on a graph exactly how many people view my work in a thumbnail- if they are really intersted , they can next enlarge the image. This enlarging of the thumbnai shows EXACTLY how many viewers really interested in the particular work. It is also set up to record exactly what country and city the viewer is located and in some cases the website of the view. Lot of times companies are looking at work to possiblly sell and represent.

The system is set up so i can immediately view the exact number of "hits " from each country visiting my page and what groups are looking , like Education, Government, etc

As an artist each individual can review their statistics and determine which style, image is most popular with the public. If your trying to sell, why create works no one is really interested in buying ?

HMM- Question: when will this suggestion and comment post on the SUGGESTON AND COMMENTS PAGE? Harry

HARRY WEISBURD 24 Jul 2008

hmm hope this is not a duplication of previous comments and suggestions.

Suggestion to the ArtWanted techies: set up a statistic page where there is a small thumbnail of each work the artist has posted and an enlarge image click- which registers how many viewers or "hits" are interested in that particular work. This system is used on another website I belong to and is excellent- it lets the artist know what style or image the public is interested in - statistics are available on daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis- outstanding system!

Hello there, The "history" (change of colour) of visits to various portfolios haven't changed since your update to the site, they STILL don't change colour for me to know what I have already clicked on ............. I have reported this before but still no change....................

Regards,

Patty

We need the top 10...heck, we need a top 20. There's just to many artists out there...non paying artists get to upload to much of their work, making it hard for the premium members to get some exposure.

The reduction in hits could be put dpwn to the fact that many people are on vacation at this time of year. I know there are those who will take a laptop on vacation just to keep up to date but I'm certainly not one of them. The new look is excellent. I'm still finding glitches here and there but after such a massive transformation I'm not surprised. Still not happy with the sub-gallery display though.

I am truly proud to be a member of this one of a kind website wherein most artists, professional or not, art practitioner or simply a hobbyist, gathered together in cyberworld and share their common interests in visual art. How lucky are we, new generation artists to be given such exposure by this site's provider, artwanted.com, to show not only our skills and talent in producing our masterpieces but to meet and interact with the other art enthusiasts and disciples of the Masters (Raphael, Van Gogh, Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Picasso, to name a few). Keep it up! and more power to the people behind ARTWANTED.COM! GODSPEED! :-)

I'm glad I found this board...I also noticed a drop in comments and hits..but that's ok now that I know I'm not the only one... I'm not a member so this is free advertisment for me...has anyone considered that during this time of year people are on vacation and this is always a low time of viewing...it is even evident on my websites this time of year. I love the new AW it's really nice! Thanks for all the hard work...
