Daily Featured Image Now on Facebook/Twitter

As most of you know, each day we feature a different artist/artwork on our home page. These featured images are hand selected by our staff as we browse our website throughout the day.

We thought it would be fun to give these artists some additional exposure, so we are now posting the featured image of the day on the ArtWanted.com Facebook and Twitter page as well. When you see the featured image on our home page or Facebook, we encourage our members to post a comment about the artwork/artist.

Some people have asked us... How can I be a featured artist? Actually, there is no special criteria to become a featured artist on our site. It's open to all artists, both free and premium members. Our staff simply picks art/artists that they like as the browse the website throughout the day.

Unfortunately, we will never be able to feature all members of our site as a featured artist. There are only 365 days in the year for featured artists, and each year we have over 5,000 new artists join our site. Because of this, we created the "Pics of the Day" section of our site. This allows members to nominate other artists for extra exposure on our website. Please use this feature to promote other artists on ArtWanted.com that you feed deserve some extra attention.

Be sure to "LIKE" the ArtWanted.com Facebook page and become a fan of our Twitter page for all the latest updates.

This is all so new to me . I do have a private facebook for close friends and family. And I have heard that sometimes Facebook does not honor privacy settings when they reconfigure new features. So as an artist/photographer does anyone have any tips to create a user name that helps with searches?
