GEE'S STAN..ALL I CAN SAY IS THANK YOU FOR STICKING UP FOR ME. I WAS SO SHOCKED. I HAD SEEN ONE OF HER WORKS POP UP AND GAVE HER A TEN FOR IT. THEN I GET SOME THE 3'S AND AN 8 SO I E-MAILED HER ABOUT THE SKIP BUTTON. THEN SHE SENT THE E-MAIL WITH SHE DOSE NOT CARE ABOUT TENS OR OTHER ARTIST THOUGHTS. SO I SENT HER AN E-MAIL ABOUT HOW THE PICTURES WERE ALREADY TOP TENS AND I WOULD LEAVE HER COMMENTS SO OTHER ARTIST COULD SEE HOW SHE RATES THEM. THEN I SEE SHE RATED A FEW WITH TEN. I AM CONFUSED,WHY DID SHE BOTHER TO DO THAT? I HOPE YOU DO NOT GET IN TO TROUBLE OVER THIS. I AM VERY UP SET THAT THIS CAN HAPPEN SO MANY TIMES TO OTHERS AS WELL. THANK YOU STAN VERY MUCH. KATHLEEN

Stan -

When thing like this come up, it's always better to talk to us first, instead of doing a bunch of revenge rating.

A simple e-mail would have had us look into the issue and deal with it, but now you are part of the problem, instead of helping the situtation.

Although this person did give out a few low votes on Kathleens portfolio, they also gave 2 tens and an 8 on other images of hers. The overall ratings given were higher, than lower. This voter normally has a high voting average and generally gives good ratings to people.

We have deleted the low votes/comments given by this voter and we have also deleted the '5' votes you gave as revenge ratings.

Next time, please alert of us things like this, instead of taking matters into your own hands. It's the only way to get the full picture of all the details and we are ultimatly the only ones that can do anything about a persons voting control.

dear staff i have tried so many times before to keep my cool and ignore all that goes on around me can you please tell me why Kathleen is still getting low rates from this person even when you have been and fixed the problem

do i have to except this sort of treatment and this language and if I am now part of the problem then it looks like the rating system should be changed to stop this sort of behaviour even from me that is why I did this to get my point across

ANY ONE THAT GIVES A RATE BELOW 4 SHOULD GET AN AUTOMATIC BLOCK PUT ON THERE RATING SO THEY CAN DO NO MORE DAMAGE AS THIS PERSON IS STILL DOING RIGHT NOW

We belive that every person deserves at least one warning to be fair. If they continue with low votes, then we will take action.

thank you Andy i will try my best to not cause you problems but i felt it was my only way of getting this stopped quickly and yes i do get hot headed just cant stand to see good people put down that dont know how to fix things will be good for the rest of the month now and thank you again for sorting this so promply

I will say this till the fat lady sings ( or Lucas7 gets sarcastic) I have 1's 2's 3's 4's 5's etcetc in my portfolio... i'd gladly display the names...but i am NOT a 10...are you?

why were her low ratings deleted? why do you have them there if they are going to be deleted? That is just plain ridiculous! I have gotten a couple of 3's. So what!!

Good point Aaron. Probably because it wasn't a 10. Ya know, the politics on this site have become such a turn-off. In the world outside the internet, artists have to find ways to not let criticism get to them, or they're finished. Goes with anything, really. I have gotten lowgrades, but I learned not everyone likes my work. Rate me a 1,2,3, whatever. It's not like I'm getting rich off of ratings. Low ratings won't hurt my ego.

Sher I agree I have some stupid remarks on my work as well so I dont feel to bad for myself I solved the problem by turning my ratings off

But I say this to everyone as most know I have my own business and have to tolerate some very uneducated clients every day of the week in the computer industry but why in hells name do I have to accept it my pleasure time and a time I come to escape from the real world to see peoples work and communicate at a different level and try to enjoy my free time and to add is not much time just a couple of hours a day

PS I will keep my keep my honour and conviction to stand up and be counted when any one who I call a friend is being hurt or mistreated but will endeavour to curb my behaviour to make the Staffs life easyier

I can certainly understand your retaliation efforts Stan and especially when sticking up for a friend. It is a shame these kinds of people are here, but the fact is that they are and always will be. Retaliation doesn't make it right nor solve the problem. Hopefully the thread that Sher started will finally spark some sort of action to take care of this. None of us deserve this type of behavior from anyone and I think ones that choose to behave in this manner should either be banned or have their commenting and rating priviledges blocked. I witnessed these comments last night after Kathleen had just given her a ten and complimenting her on her work. But I am powerless over the actions of others and can only take responsibility for my own actions.
