Maple leaf WIP

This is a piece I'am playing around with, I want to create a sence of the leafs color cycle....16x20 arcylic on canvas panel

Overlap the leaves from newest to oldest....Use layering in photoshop if you wish for a different layering. I prefer overlaps to items laid out singly.

Thanks for the comments, yes I admit it, I'am a nature lover.. I do refrain from hugging trees though...hehe

Peter, I thought of another idea for you last night...paint a tree on one side...autumn with leaves of many colors, then drift or let leaves fall down..and paint them in the varying shades...like a tree shedding leaves. That would work beautifully actually with a leaf or two on the ground too. Here is a wonderful 'leafy' pic to inspire you..and its untouched..the colors are so varied in the one tree. PS Its good to 'hug' a tree. A tree has much love and many secrets to share..try it. Certain trees are strong with tree spirits and Devas and certain gardens are too.
