I dont neccessary agree with that at all. I think a certain amount of skill and talent is neccesary along with of course doing your part in rating others to be on a top all time list. I still think ratings are kinda crazy for art..(putting a number on art is like putting a price tag on a human body)...although its interesting and i use them.

I had mine off for a brief time, then my portfolio stalker came back and flamed me again. I am turning them off. They do seem pointless now...just a tool for some idiot to annoy me.

Sorry I'm late joining in this discussion.

I've had my ratings off since last spring. Greg, I am so glad you decided to turn yours off too. Funny part about this is when you go look at the "top 10 photographers" now, the best photographers at AW are not on the list!!

ok, you turn off your ratings, but keep rating for me..and all numbers are welcome, exept zero!!!!! :D

sadly I can hardly believe the tens :(
