Resolution time

It always seems like I just post when I really need help, eh. This time I want to know how to capture that smooth look flash has in a jpeg image. It seems like every time I export the image it looks a little jagged around the edges. How do i keep that smooth look when saving it????

- I have thought about throwing my computer out the window but I don't think that will work -

for the most part resolution breaks down to DPI. make sure you are saving your files at a high DPI. for photo quality i set mine at 300dpi or better.

now, the web wont let you really make full use of DPI because generally its resolution tops out at 86.

what program are you using ? i know in photoshop it has a 'save for web' option which makes files smaller in size but really compromises their appearance if this is the case with you just use the 'save as' option instead so you can choose quality setting.

hope this helps

I'm using Flash and I do set the DPI to 300 but even when I do this I can't keep the smooth look flash has in its animations.

hmmm. strange. i'm not familiar with flash at all so i'm unfortunately no help -- sorry. good luck; hope you figure it out!

maybe you can take a screen shot of the flash animation?? CTRL + PRTSCRN and then paste into photoshop or other editing programs ????
