I think he would find a way to incorporate it somehow into perhaps his pre-study for a future work and of course for marketing. In terms of conceiving just digital art, i feel he would embrace that too. Lots can be learned from creating digital art...one being composition and balance vital to great art.

I think he would be all for it. I can imagine him being the man that dissected the human body, what parts he would put on the copy machine! LOL! I understand that he was not the most pleasant person so one could imagine he would grumble about the problems with computers. JMO

I am not so sure that if he were alive today, that he would have an insanely powerful computer. I wonder if he would conform to the modern ideas because in his own time he was not a popular artist, only after his death was he famous.

With his interest in the human body it is possible that in this time he would more then likely become a doctor or a scientist or maybe an astronaut or pilot.

On the other side, I think his personality and traits would remain the same now as they were then, they could be a fault and he would more then likely be imprisoned or deemed insane because he would have to think beyond what modern man has discovered.

If in this time born under the same circumstances as he was in his time art might likely be hobby because he was not wealthy then and would he make a living at it now? He might be a member on AW and have dealt with a few 6- 7s in his portfolio. LOL!

I am glad that he was a man of his own time and he created art that is admired and will be admired for a long time to come. JMO

i remember growing up and my parents having a monalisa print on a towel. it was so stunnig that we actually hung it up. i use to feel like those eyes were following me, i use to know the term for that, its "______ gazer", but i can't remember. anyways, i think that was my first true inspiration for art, even before x-men. i agree w/ alot of you, a man of his time is a man of his time regardless of how far ahead of his time he was. thank you all for your comments.

I've been studying him a lot more very recently, though I already knew a lot, but it's nice to learn more.

What he was like seemed to depend on the person talkingabout him. LIke family life there will always be differences of opinions on others.

In one book they said he must of been a very unpleasant man because of his close scrutiny of people and corpses. That reads very much like an asumption to me.

Another book actually mentions letters and diaries that talked of him, much better.

To one person an aprentice he was a stern taskmaster, but a gentleman, who didn't sleep much. Another was a noble whos party he went to, who also called him a gentleman and a rake? He could be a very witty person aparently, but he could cut you dead in the wink of an eye.

But mostly he was an open mind like a child alkways looking for something new, a new way to do things. He just wouldn't accept that he knew everything. So Computers, he would of loved them, and shouted bring out more art programmes :D

Da Vinci would probably be alot like George Lucas, because directors seem to br the closest modern corollary to what the great painters were in their time. And Lucas, like Da Vinci, almost abandoned directing to set up Industrial Light and Magic or whatever its called. Similar to Da Vinci always tring to get someone to finance his insane militatry machines.
