I have been hard at it!

Have been away from the painting a while but when I picked up my brush this weekend, they just kept coming! These just needed to come out. Would love some feedback. What works and what doesn't? First one: "Scrub"

Three seperate emotions. How are they conveyed? Thanks in advance! "Mother"

Woops! Four seperate emotions. I almost forgot one! "The Forgotten Valentine"

very busy indeed meghan! very nice work!

i like them all.

scrub to me reminds me of when i just get in that 'cleaning mode' almost like OCD.

i like afternoon and get a strong sense of place but i'm not quite sure what i am doing there. the depth i get from it distance wise is very good.

mother feels somewhat cold to me. aloof? the headcut off like that makes me feel like the level of her eyes is somehow always above my own...

the forgotten valentine is potent. i see the hurt and yet too i see that cocked eyebrow and know that emotion personally...almost like accusation 'how could they !?' yknow ??

really thought provoking. very good!!

Hinsel, Thanks for the comments. About the "Afternoon" and not knowing "where" you are... I wondered if that would be a problem. It isn't like there is a window there. Not sure about it although my husband says it is his favorite... not mine! Thanks for the feedback.

Scrub almost gets a bloody, slavish kinda feel. Creepy in a way.
