I'm really shocked by the suposed understanding of everyone on this problem .... Is no one bothered by the fact that artwanted charged you at least 25 bucks for a calendar that you've already lost more than a month and a half on ? I'm not too bloody impressed.
I mean, I ordered it in decemember. My art's in it and several friends on here as well. It was to be a present for someone but, I guess that point is moot now.
I received an Email on january 12th saying that they still hadn't received them from their printers ...
Now tell me ... Who is going to take responsibillity for this Andy ? People can sometimes have an understanding with a friend that if something's late you forgive and forget. If I had ordered the book it's be more understandable, but a calendar is based on the premise that it's time sensitive. What are you going to do to rectify this ? I'm honestly curious.
You can whine and complain that it's the printers fault or that you're too swamped with work and projects but, tell me .. is this our fault ? Hire people ... that's what expanding businesses do to pick up the slack. As for the Printer. I'm sure you had a contract with them stating that the calendars would be sent out to the people that ordered well before 2005 even began. Seems to me they've breached that contract forcing you to breach ours. Can we say REFUND ? I sugest you at the very least refund the artists who's calendar page has gone by, as for the rest of the people ... well hell I'm sure that they are just as unimpressed as I am.
Any other company would cancel the deal and refund the customers. If it gets too bad the customers can contact their credit card companies and cancel that purchase, and you're lucky you don't get a class action suit set against you. I know that one of america's favourite pasttimes is sueing each other.
I know there will be the sympathic responses that I see here the moment there's a complaint. For all it's worth you can feel sorry about it. Good for you. I try to be patient with most problems but, this is just rediculous.
I don't see any other complaints about this problem ... I supose Andy will pull it ASAP to try to placate the masses. Perhaps others have been pulled before mine ?
All I know is that I think there are plenty of people wanting answers to this problem. Maybe have the printer do the calendars up for the 2006 year ? ... maybe that way we'll get them before the end of this year and be able to use them for something more than pieces of paper to whipe our butts with .... although I'm sure people by now would have new and/or different artwork that they would choose to feature as a calendar page.
Our loss .... Bigtime.
