In addition, the widget is left-justified rather than centered which makes it look asymmetrical and disharmonious.
With nothing but the image and its description (which is now below rather than to the left,) it is still too much scrolling. Your layout is not user friendly. It makes it too difficult to use. You really do need to resolve this excessive scrolling problem with a more compact design.
1. Put the description back on the left of the image rather than below. 2. Put the widget (if used) back below the description on the left.
Emily - No changes were made to the widget with this update. Can you please send us a screen shot of exactly what you are seeing/describing, so we can clearly understand what you are referring to. We are a little fuzzy on the page of the site you are talking about in your message. Thanks.

AW STAFF: No, this is not normal. What web browser and operating system are you on?
AW STAFF: Sharon, we moved the submit button next to the comments box, so you don't need to scroll as much anymore. Please check it out and let us know if this solves the issue you had with that page.

That's an excellent description of the way the new layout looks on my screen too - Firefox 2, Vista.
Actually, I'm starting to get used to it now, apart from having to scroll for miles on each page. At least it avoids the grey background (plain white looks much better)!
At 800 x 600 resolution which is what I ordinarily use in order to have large print to save my eyes, you see even less and SCROLL, SCROLL, SCROLL, SCROLL, SCROLL, SCROLL.
I use words sparingly in my image descriptions. Some people like to write a lot about their images, and since this now appears below rather than to the left of the image, it increases the amount of scrolling needed to get to the comments.
SOLUTION:
PUT THE DESCRIPTION BACK WHERE IT USED TO BE, TO THE LEFT OF THE IMAGE.
PUT THE WIDGET'S POSITION BELOW THE DESCRIPTION TO THE LEFT OF THE IMAGE -WHERE IT USED TO BE.
Please look at Nira Dabush's design where she has a very interesting and detailed description:
http://www.artwanted.com/imageview.cfm?id=690676
This shows how a longer description below the image adds to the amount of scrolling that needs to be done to get to the comments.
SOLUTION: PUT THE DESCRIPTION BACK WHERE IT USED TO BE ON THE LEFT OF THE IMAGE.
ALSO PUT THE WIDGET BACK WHERE IT USED TO BE BELOW THE DESCRIPTION ON THE LEFT.
