Just to say, when I started this "thing" I didn't suspect all the different works could thrill me this way! Each and every of your works are a surprise, almost a miracle. All of you make me feel in a different world; I'm in awe. Congratulations and thank you to all of you, amazing artists!!!

Izabella: amazing minimalism BUT my peixeiras are THERE. A little birdie (his name is Nikolay:-) wrote you're living the creativeness as a kind of whirlpool :-)

I'm glad you'll have fun and enjoy your creativity.

Pam:

Not today but if I manage my time, I'll post few photos here to let you know why your B&W design is an amazing approach to reality.

Minerva:

A diptych? Looks like no one thought about it. Creativity is endless here.

I wish to explain something. Since I drew/painted a lot of magazine covers, maybe I planned "Peixeiras" as a magazine cover but I didn't notice it. Really, if you look at my drawing, there are two parts; both of of them can "survive" alone and you already noticed it.

Tremendous rendering, your "Grieving woman", Olga.

Few days ago I wrote this e-mail to one of our artists:

"Because of results I'm achieving, I think I must concentrate my efforts by doing temptations instead of the tiring work with brushes. I mean, I have more talent as devil than artist :-))) So glad you'll be in our collective sin :-)"

I mean, looks like you got "Costa da Morte fever" and I'm so glad!!! :-)))

Another drawing of a woman selling seafoods on shore.

Endless creativity, Isabel (your name in Spanish). You're in the whirlpool, indeed :-)

No, Minerva. I dress like Adam in the early morning:-) and just today my leaf was in laundry :-))) LOL!

By the way, I wrote that comment and took the photo at 10:31 (AW time) = 18:31 here.

New challenge: if all of you ask for it, I'll took a photo tomorrow in the early morning to post it here:-))))))))))) (The leaf still in laundry:-)

Edit: A long time ago... I was drawing for Aguiluchos; meanwhile you only was in DNA chain phase :-))) Is that what do you mean?

Armando Salas 29 Jul 2008

My comic character "Flip" was born 25 years ago. February 2008 was his Anniversary. This means: I drew more than 2.000 pages.

Armando Salas 29 Jul 2008

I worked hard (by the way my whole entire life). Few covers for Aguiluchos.

Armando Salas 29 Jul 2008

Hey, Minerva. I never was a pubescent boy until this morning :-)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Here, the 50 pages for Aguiluchos I drew lately, totally inked. Now, I only need your help to color them. A new challenge? :-)))

One of the last pages.

Armando,

You bring the joy of ArtWanted back... This is what has been missing for several years. This is the AW that my wife left you all and wanted everyone to enjoy and play. You Sir are bringing the fun back... This is what it's about... Thank You Armando !!! You have their respect... show them, incite them, challenge them, lead them and most of all have fun... It really works ... :))) It is not about AW... It is not about the rules. It is about the artists and the pure simple joy of ART... Bravo !!!! Yes Armando as Sher would have said ::::Accolades::::

I have been waiting 3 years to say this... This is from an e-mail I sent Armando. He asked me to come and share "(Sher)" it with you and as I have told him... I would be delighted too.

For the new people to AW over the last 3 years.... This is what AW used to be... This is what brought so many artists together under this roof of AW... Armando once said that AW died when Sher died... Not true ... she has left a piece of herself in each of you who knew her... Yes she was an artist... a damn good one at that... maybe one of the best of my lifetime ... because every thing she touched she left a piece of herself in. Not just her art... She left it in you. Sher was always trying to quelch the fires ... Why? So that art could prevail. Sher knew that art comes from the artist. Nuture, Create, Inspire and Touch Other artists. Yes even let them laugh at you, smile, giggle and even get angry and Grrrrrr owl a little. For this is what makes art explode from the artist, this is the passion of art. Without the passion... there would be no art. So I say to the artists of ArtWanted... Sher left me something... to give to all of you... Yes Armando even you... She left you the keys ... and said tell them, it's their turn to drive. Armando with this little challenge... you have only cracked the door. Open it wide and you will see art created like none of you could have even imagined. You are artists of the WORLD for God sakes. The art you create today will make history of tomorrow... The power is in your hands... Not the hands of AW. For without all of you there would be no AW, no Redbubble or any other web site. As we say in the motorcycle world... Kick it in gear, throttle up, see where this road takes you... get there safe and enjoy the ride. Yes :::Accolades::: Armando... This Award is for you Armando one of the drivers and AW for the new nice shinny red Lambrogini!!! :::Steps Off Soap Box::: Smile's :))) and to think at one time they actually pulled his art because it was a little to risque. Does anyone remember SNO Days... I feel a coolness in the air... LOL ...jeff...

Thank you very much, dear Jeff.

The best way to describe your wife is:

"Sher was... Sher".

This short sentence is enough for the "old" AW members. For the new ones, my advice is: please go to see Sher's AW portfolio (or her official website: www.sherrichardson.com) and study/enjoy her Art. Because Sher Richardson was -is- a myth.

There's a "Sher Richardson's Memorial" in my portfolio. I put there few drawings about her. But there is one in my Cartoons portfolio that makes me smile every time I see it. After I uploaded this cartoon I got an e-mail from Sher: while looking at it , her coffee spilled all over her keyboard because of laugh. Of course, I offered to buy a new one to her :-)))

Memories, Jeff.

Your wife left an indelible tread in all of us.

Hi Armando. Here's my little effort!

When I first saw your initial sketch the first thing that entered my mind was " stained glass!" So here is the result! Hope you (and everyone else on this delightful thread) like it.

Armando Salas 30 Jul 2008

Good morning, Roy! :-))) Glad to know someone is here. Our American friends are still snoring :-) LOL!

Amazing art for sure, my dear friend. An optimistic and TRUE rendition because not all is death in Coast of Death. I'll comment on your porfolio. Thank you for your participation in this unforgettable artistic experience.

Roy Boobyer 30 Jul 2008

Precisely my friend. I felt that even on the stormiest coast the hardy fisherfolk can have their lives brightened by art! I visualised your great design as a bright window in a small village chapel close to the sea.

Now for a morning coffee and a cigarette! Join me:-))
