If you use the term slattering which isn't a real word its a urban dictionary type of term. Then again if you used Firefox Mrs Bianca you would have know it was misspelled before submitting. Firefox has built in, inline spell checking, which means it underlines misspelled words. Perfect for me, cause I respond to comments on a lot of groups and don't like to be corrected by the spelling police, unless its for something I have no idea about. If its in Bianca's dictionary, I'd like to know which one you use.

Gary? You stitched it? Nice, that is about what I would have done, I once used a razor blade to remove a rather large piece of pallet from let, I had to cut quite a bit, I have a deep scar in the place of the incision. Two month later the rest came out in a painful volcano like force, needless to say it hurt a lot before it came out. I had to cut the scab away and push. Its was almost as bad as my taking care of a nail in the bottom of my foot when I was a kid, didn't tell anyone just took care of it myself.

Being disabled i have encountered the full-force of the broken-system. From the parmaceutical companies, insurance under Medicare, right to the doctors in their offices. Excessive greed has created inequities so very broad in this land of equality! I believe in a single payor system now...socialized or not!!

Philo T. Fenstermacher 24 Mar 2010

O.K. explain then:

Why universal medical coverage in the U.S. is 'socialism' and universal medical care in Iraq and Afghanistan is 'sound foreign policy'......(we provide it..)

meanwhile, I pay $13 for a Tylenol in the E.R.....

well we can argue wrong right, where is the money coming from.. and what the hell is education reform doing in a healthcare bill???.. but it come down to this... is it constitutional!???... and the constitution says NO.. the goverment has no right or authority to tell you to buy a Damn thing.. .. i am for reform on health care..{ i have goverment health care Via the army.. and i will tell you it is not so great!!.. i would give you a run down on horrors including me having to tell my doctor how to care for the condition i have.. but i wil spare you..}... but there are so meny better things we could have done on a smaller scale than shovel something down the throats of americans that they didnt want.. sorry.. big goverment is not the way.. they own our car industry, our banks, and now our right to health care and while they were at it sneaked in the education thingy.. sorry.. we are americans. and this is NOT american!.. but just my thoughts..

I could not agree with you more, Monique.

Dan Ault 03 Apr 2010

Nothing was shoved down our throats. We elected the politicians who passed this legislation. That's how our government is supposed to work.

WESTERN ARTWORK By Denny Karchner 04 Apr 2010

Shoved down our throats? It's more like being raped with a suppository.

Maybe you voted for them Dan, I, sure as hell, did not.

Happy Easter! In my greatest imagination I can not imagine Christ dieing for Republicans! They do so well on their own. We had eight years of their rule and here we are! The health care system is BROKEN, get it! If you have a better idea please post it. I would love to see someone running for election with the platform of getting rid of Medicare, getting rid of Social Security, getting rid of Veterans health care! we like these even if imperfect! how about getting rid of minimum wage? "We are americans, and this is NOT america", you are right, Monique, if you get sick, you are on your own! What you are mostly failing to realize is we are not doing this from the kindness of our hearts like Easter might remind us! We are doing this for cold hard cash! We simply can't afford to do it the way we used to, period! If you can't admit it is a broken system it will never be fixed! I have great insurance, my $130,000 Cancer treatment will cost me a thousand bucks! I am also a businessman, (retired!) who used to have 12 employess and their health insurance cost me $1,000 per month! Health care adds $1,800 to the price of an American car and NOTHING to a KIA!!!

WESTERN ARTWORK By Denny Karchner 04 Apr 2010

The health care system was broken long, long before the Republicans took over the last eight years. Look up how many presidents vowed to fix it. I even remember Nixon claiming to fix it. I can't wait to see what this president claims to have fixed...or maybe not...

jerry carlin 04 Apr 2010

Denny, this is great, you admit it is broken! So do we fix it or leave it broken? Personall I don't give a rip, there is nothing in it for me! My first concern would be how to make it better? There are lots of countries where their people live longer and healthier lives than we do, could we see what they are doing? Our hospitals are closing their doors, not from lack of customers but from lack of paying customers! how can we fix this? My second concern would be how to make it more affordable. Maybe more med schools? more grants to med-students in return for service? shorter copyrites on drug formulas? just hunting for ideas here! and my third concern would be how to make it more equitable, within reach of everyone. that is all I want. without the anger, without the name calling, without the fear.
