I think you are right Armando: 6 X 2 is 12!

This challenge looks now much more challenging than I anticipated... ok, back to work...

Armando Salas 28 Jul 2008

Hi, Lior.

Not sure if 6 X 2 = 12

This one is my daily strip for today in newspaper El Correo Gallego (Santiago de Compostela). The subject is about our Emilio Pérez Touriño (Galician Premier). He said "Government did the homework"

Since we are living a hard economic crisis...

Now you'll understand why the Spanish politicians HATE ME!!! :-)))

Lior Goldenberg 28 Jul 2008

Why do they hate you? 7 + 3 is 4!!!

(ok, I just prepare myself for my political campaign...)

Armando Salas 28 Jul 2008

Warning:

If all of you will continue to create so IMPRESSIVE art, I'll break mine and run away to hide myself in Patagonia! :-)

Armando Salas 28 Jul 2008

"LIOR OLMERT"... hmmm... a winner for sure!!!

Nikolay Pavlushko 28 Jul 2008

Hi everybody. This work is my vision of the subject of Piexeiras.

Armando Salas 28 Jul 2008

Glad you finally put your amazing art here. Thank you very much, Nikolay! :-)

------ You're the artist #18 :-)

Bluemoonshadow 28 Jul 2008

Wow, everyone else's interpretation is such wonderful artwork... I am not sure if I just want to color them now... I might come up with digital version of it myself since I didn't get to do any coloring myself while at my mother's this past weekend... (we had fun watching old movies though..:)

OH well, I might do both, if my neck allows me to play.. ;)

Thank you, Armando, for putting this challenge up.. and of course, Sher is playing with us... I am sure she will paint some thing beautiful in the sky for all of us to see soon...:))

Cheers, WhiteCornsnake,

Mericarmen.. *grin**

ARMANDO SALAS, you know how many HITS you got with this thingy goin' on? 1,365.... YES OVER THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED my friend.

I was quite busy painting my new one tonight: Title: “Grieving woman of Costa da Morte” .

A little detail already: YOU and Pablo Picasso inspired me big time ... How awesome is that? Artists need other artists to be inspired by...

It's a collage oil painting. I'll download her tomorrow morning by the crack of dawn, when you're drinking you're first Sangria already and I'll sip my coffee.... ( all these different time zones are confusing, probably you're snoring right now)

Be prepared my friend, there will be a little nude present as you desired.

Love and Light~ Moi

Armando Salas 29 Jul 2008

Good morning, World. 2:20 AW time; 10:20 my time.

You made me laugh, Olga, because of sangría. It's a very refreshing drink but only my wife drinks it at home and not often. Let's say "we have sangría in refrigerator". I like it but I prefer (my kitties too:-) my Dutch beer. Also I like GAZPACHO very much and this recipe is something I reccommend to all of you in Summer.

Cannot wait to see your "Grieving woman of Costa da Morte" because this one is truly an intense subject.

I'm glad to be able to inspire you :-) Do you know? Picasso always regret he never drew comics, as I read once.

Cannot wait to see the nude :-) LOL! Perhaps a fish is showing its esquamas???? :-))))))

Pamela Davidson -the most busy woman all over the World- made an amazing and complex version of Peixeiras. Please, Pam, post it here, O.K.?

Here's my version of a "Grieving Woman of the Costa da Morte."

It's a collage/oil painting on (heavily gesso-ed) watercolor paper.

The grieving woman I borrowed from Pablo Picasso's "Blue Nude". I think he would not mind.

The woman is surrounded by water/sea, which is her life, her living. The water took her love from her...

The netting of the fishers you'll find back through the collage/painting as well as the boats at the skyline.

On the right from the woman, there's a compass. There are several sun rays filled with musical notes.

I like it quite a bit. What about you?

Love and Light~Olga

Armando, nude aliens????? LMAO

Olga, that piece is a HUGE WOW!! I can almost see you working on it, the intense movements, and delicate touchs, the creativity flowing from your fingers into the brush.. It's Brilliant, Beautiful and Bold!!
