Carrie, I love your painting, it's wonderful!!

Some time ago I've made a (kind of) small tutorial for a friend about how to make a video in movie maker, maybe it's something for you, Carrie.

You can see it here:

Good night from Spain :-)

I was very busy all day long. Phone calls and work. (I was feeding TEN cats also!:-) But wonderful news:

If I'm right, tomorrow, newspaper Diario de Ferrol will publish the news (full page) about PEIXEIRAS :-) I'll scan the page to all of you can read your names there :-))) As I said before, girls, your next step will be Playboy centerfolds ;-) LOL!

Perhaps Miss Michoacán 2008 will translate the text into English to all of you can read/understand it. ¿De acuerdo, Minerva? No es un texto largo. ¡Y ojito con el huracán! Cúidate.

Anneke Hut 18 Aug 2008

Armando, you are great! I can't wait to see it, so exciting!! :)))

HUGS to the sweet kittens!

Hi There.

Thanks everyone for your help with the movie program. I haven't made use of the tutorial yet but I did get a copy of the software. I'll have to find the time to work on some images.

There was a full moon a few nights ago and I got a picture out the window from the top floor of my Apartment building in Portland Oregon. G'night

Carrie

Hi Friends!

First I want to apologise to the group for inadvertently posting two irelevant cartoons on the group site. How can I get rid of them??

Hey Minerva, I applaud your research into Welsh national dress!

Armando! Great cartoon as usual:-))))

Lastly for now - Hurrah! Three Gold Medals and a Silver for WELSH athletes in Beijing:-))))))))))))

Armando Salas 19 Aug 2008

Congrats, Roy!!!

What about Cartooning as Olympic sport? :-)))

--------------

Just to tell you I bought the newspaper: I found few well known names :-)))

The image is posted in my portfolio and Group as well. The scanned larger page is available in my private gallery. Keyword: ARMANDO.

You can see the on line version also. It'll be available during 7 days.

Congratulations to all of you. Thank you very much for your art, enthusiasm and support.

Our dear friend Minerva Bloom will translate it into English as soon as possible (she is dealing right now with hurricane; take care, girl)

Olga van Dijk 19 Aug 2008

WOW, newspaper news.... FANTASTIC Armando! Congrats! Can't wait until it's translated in English.

TERRY, I'm Dutch, but living in the States since 11 years as a legal alien on a green card as well. We got "stuck" here, since the kids didn't want to leave the States. We're not planning on getting our citizenship, since then you have to give up your passport (nationality). There's no dual citizenship possible with the Netherlands unfortunately. We're not able to vote, though we pay our taxes here...

ANNEKE, thanks for the tutorial info. You're a real "DUIZENDPOOT!" (after all that Spanish a little Dutch is allowed!

MINNIE, much luck with that storm (didn't realize you live that South!)

ROY, to erase these two images you have to go to your members area and have to MANAGE your portfolio, then go to edit (little yellow pencil on the right) There you'll see ARTIST GROUP. Change that into the artist group you want it to belong to!

I'm gonna go downstairs painting again, fired up by all these good news you all posted! OK, LOVE & LIGHT for all of you. It's a wonderful sunny summer day over here in Pennsylvania.

Hi all,

Armando, you truely amaze me to have an article written in the newspaper about your idea of putting a challenge on a message board, expecting oh maybe 4 or 5 people to take you up on it ,but no! You will have 24 responses when the day is done and to get such a vast difference in renderings in style and color from people from all over the world.

I did try to get a traslation on Bable Fish but it was not very clear in many parts but I could get the main ideas. Keep up the good work my friends and fight the good fight!

Carrie

Armando Salas 19 Aug 2008

Hi, Carrie.

I also tried to do the translation but not sure about the result. This way, I prefer Minerva do it. She is Mexican, this means, the translation will be a MASTERPIECE :-)))

Hi, Minnie.

First of all, I'm glad you have knocked out hurricane. Dangerous girl you're! :-)

About "norteamericana", I simply sent info to the newspaper and hadn't chance to correct the text. Diario de Ferrol team is very young and all of them very impulsive :-) You're lucky they only changed your country; usually they change sex:-) LOL! "Minervo"? OMG!!!

Than you for the translation, norteamericana :-) Wonderful work!

Just few minutes ago I got a phone call from my friend the sculptor Gascón ( in my portfolio, "Guest stars" folder). He just wanted to congratulate after he saw the newspaper. Gascón isn't an "Internet man" but he's very interested in the Peixeiras subject. When I'll come back to Ferrol after Summer I'll show him the complete artwork. By the way, I'll take photos at his studio. Gascón is a talented artist, a very dear friend and an incredibly good person.

Going to make a cup of coffee. All of you are invited.

Edit: Minerva: I also have beer although there aren't hurricanes here:-)

Of course you can do it, Minerva. No one of the participants needs to ask for permission: feel free to do all you want.

YOUR SCULPTURES ARE AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL! You captured the essence of grace and dance! GORGEOUS!!!

I'm not a GRINGO: I'M MEXICAN!!!!! :-))) A well known Mexican!!!

I already have this image in my portfolio:

This one is the info:

"---Once I thought my portfolio was too huge and decided to delete images. And after this, I tried twice to organize my artwork in folders. Results: accidental deletion, because I didn't understand enough how to do it.--- Now, I plan to restore my "classics". I begin this series with Jorge Gallardo, a very dear and supportive friend, as a welcome. It was a long, looong absence, Jorge, and I'm happy because you came back.--- We both enjoyed funny chats :-))). Once, Jorge said "I'll be the President of Mexico". I answered "If you'll be the President of Mexico, I'll be Pancho Villa". And here is the cartoon :-))) --- Bienvenido a casa, Jorge. Ya te he dicho que el arte es un don que no te pertenece; no puedes decidir privarnos de tu obra. Hala, a trabajar, y olvida el peyote y el tequila! Una "Coronita" de vez en cuando, si eres bueno :-)))

Not sure if Jorge is the President of Mexico but I still am Pancho Villa!:-)

Armando Salas 19 Aug 2008

Olga. Put here the link to the info in your website. Why not, so fast girl? :-)

Olga van Dijk 19 Aug 2008

Awesome cartoon again my friend. Great that you'll restore your portfolio my friend. Your cartoons are unique and exquisite. I'm very proud to know you!

I love the big sculpture of your friend Gascón!!

I'm so vane that I downloaded the article of the DIARIO in my Dutch Artist Website Exto.

Feel free to check it by copying and clicking on
