AN OTHER BOAT STORY...

Today Fred and I were canoeing on the Brandywine River (Delaware) for 4 hours. We are a little sore (untrained lazy muscles) despite the fact that we were more or less floating down this shallow stream....; we LOVED it!

We’re planning to have our 2 girls and their hubbies over the weekend of our 31st anniversary (Sept 16: waar blijft de tijd?!) for a relaxing day ( a gentle ride down this perfectly calm river with a beer and a small pick-nick is the best way to enjoy it! And lots of sunscreen lotion!)

We drove down to the location in Wilmington, Delaware. (40 minutes) THEY DID THE REST. They drove us to the river with a school bus, dropped us off in our canoe, (or kayak) and picked us up at their take-out and brought us back to our location. It was that simple!

America, country of CONVENIENCE (no struggle peddling UP the river, but just floating DOWN...)

Hi Gang!

Decided to get back to basics (fisherwomen).

Did this sketch of a Welsh cocklewoman. (might finish it in colour if I can find time) The cockle industry was dominant in Welsh fisheries in the 19th century. These hardy ladies would take their catch and sell it around the town.

I'm way behind on reading all the posts. You guys are amazing. I love the You tube presentation. I wish I could figure out how to do that Minirva. I have been Painting for hours. I'm finaly finished. This was a very good exercize. Arangeing values, thinking of color. It is far more complicated than I first thought it was going to be. Some of you just whipped this out so fast so you are far better than I! This was a real challenge to ot just give it up. Thanks Armando! Carrie
