Yeah, to encrypt/decrypt you need extra software and an OS. I wonder what makes them run. Some things run with Windows CE in the background, I don't want to mess around with hacking things.

The 7inch ones cost $29-40. Its just seeing a image or group of images on a larger screen would be so much cooler. I guess also there would be acceptable loss. If they sold for more it would be ok. Most people who buy images aren't hackers or look for ways around things... Thats the problem I have had for a number of years as a Window user, with activation... it is meant to stop hackers but you can't stop people from hacking things, it ends up hurting the honest.

There is a difficulty and that is running it, its not like a normal OS where if runs automatically. I was thinking of maybe sealing the USB port, but leaving the CF/SD slot so they can still show there images. via cards, but not be able to connect it to a computer.

I could use a metal cap that is soldered...

Then again if a frame comes with 1GB of internal space and your only using 15 mb its a terrible waste.... :)

and include a print, maybe have the moving image sound along with a few similar images.
