I think AW is protecting us better than some websites where AW gives us the option to upload low resolution images for the public to see and high resolution to go on file if anyone buys anything from us...the other site I mentioned before only has us upload high resolution images if we are in the print on demand program so if someone wants to steal our images we offer them good quality on a silver platter for them to copy! That other site has the benefit for members to see where their viewers are from, the date and time they visit each image but when I see visitors from the same city visit all or most of my images over and over again sometimes on the same day, and never buy anything,,,this is a sure sign they are stealing my images and I too don't like it....I paid for the print service but I don't think it is worth all the theft now. I noticed a new feature on ebay. when I upload an image for an auction it has a zoom and enlarge feature under the small image. when you zoom it lets you select that area ans enlarges it within the zoom box. enlarging the picture gives a new window with a larger view of the image but it can't be right clicked and they have a watermark on it too. of course you can still do a print screen and paste it in a program to edit the image but it would require work.

I know image theft is a problem. the only recourse is to have the images be small. many galleries are doing this. the images are very small and hard to see. I suppose they are simply trying to reduce theft but it's frustrating.

Susan, I think I know how the anonymous manages to right click on your images and saveem on his DT, for I can do it easily, too; due to the fact that AW endeavors to protect its artists from net-theaves, I can only e-mail you the little trick of how to right click : to copy, paste, save, and all the other functions with no probs at all; there's NO FIREFOX, NO ANY OTHER SOFTWARE APP, or whatsoever, it's just a lill small scheme.
