I fell in love with photography because with a camera you can capture any given moment, it's nice and also stress relieving. :)

I love photography because I can share with people how I view the world. I have tried explaining to people how I view things and they don't understand until I showed them some of my photographs. I like to focus in on some of the smaller details, the things that other people don't notice.

Example: Visited my In-laws and was looking off their deck and remarked at what a spectacular tree I saw. My In-laws looked at me like I was crazy, I then told them I was going to grab my camera to take a picture of it. They asked me what was so spectacular about it and I answered, "The whole tree looks like the veins on a leaf." My in-laws, after looking at the tree, bare of it's leaves for months, had never noticed the resemblance and thought it was rather remarkable after they did. I love being able to share the vision I was blessed with to others.

i am a busy wife and mother...it allows me to express myself artistically without the time problems a painting or drawing requires.

I become more interested in photography when a colleague was telling me how a SLR camera worked. At that time this makes me go deeper into the cameras operation and resources. Then I was very impressed on how we could act with the camera in order to get a final result. From that time on, I started taking pictures and exercising many techniques a lot, according to what I read on the books. This makes me an enthusiast in photography and helped me in teaching my eyes to give me the right sign when to shoot a picture. I like photography a lot, I cannot wait the next time to press the shutter of my camera and see what happens as result!

It's mainly my love of the outdoors, nature and animals.

And some occasions just because certain shots are destined to be manipulated. The joys of modern day computer programs.

I love photography because it is a way to record life . With a click of the finger we can record anything . We can view it days or years later . what we see today is not what we see in a year or 20 years . that same photo can show us something different . The photo stays the same how we view it changes . That is what i love about photography . Looking at a photo threw out time .

Lately it has become like oxygen to me.. and I can't get enough of it. Capturing it and sharing it, and hopefully everyone enjoys the 'view' along the way. :o)

I love photography becoz allows me to "hunt" without killing and to enjoy the beauty of that fraction of a moment (that is condemn to die) for the rest of my days.

Just purchased a Panasonic FZ 50 10 Gb camers with a 35 to 420 14 elem, ent Leica fixed zoom lens. This to go with my Pentax LX 35mm film camera with ALL the toys. Have 8 different lenses for this '35mm camera so I am able to choose the most appropriate lens for the picture I am taking. I favor Pentax and Tamron lenses, limitin lens purchases to these mfrs. See my 12 shots here on Art Wanted which contain a mix of photos from both cameras and my scanner. Cheers, Colin Quinn

Its the time when no one or thing can get to me. i,m free just me and my Nikon.. i walk in the forest, alone only seeing what i want to see through the lens..by the sea just the sound of the water on the stone..i,m becoming a person who needs time out.. just my time with the camrea.. and its getting more time then anyone else.. except my horses.. a friend said she hates being on her own, holidays are sad for her, but i would love time to go away without my hubby.. just to be me and take photos.. maybe one day..

I need to take that to heart Hadyn. I probably do 70 percent shoot and 30 percent compose.

Charles Nimitz 16 Jan 2009

I enjoy photography for many reasons. The main two being; one, you can capture things that are occurring at that moment in time and never again. Secondly, as Hadyn said, you can compose or create images that didn't exist before....that is to say, images that some people may not ever think to create or see. Its your own personal window to the world and you control what happens...sometimes ;). Or maybe you're just in the right place at the right time. Either way its a good feeling when you can capture sometime meaningful to you and/or others.
