PS- Chas, when Armando sends you that image, he means business...lol I think you are already one more of the artist who joined the challenge?? :))
Cheers, Blue (aka, Keiko and Mericarmen) * I am getting more names..lol)
Okay, I have finished the job, it's in my gallery, you're invited to have a look. :DD
Thinking of a dear lady, artist and friend. Get well soon, Reba!
Yes, I always was a cat lover. Every time I drinK a beer I invite my kitty also :-)))
And YES ARMANDO, I totally agree with you, JERIE Kunitsky is a TREMENDOUS PAINTER herself... She should download more of her wonderful work on AW. She is far too modest about her fine plein air work.
Do I see that little kitty next to the DUTCH BAVARIA Beer????? (Is this a new challenge "Kittens and beer"?) Let her try to drink GROLSCH (she will like it even better!)
I LOVE ANNEKE HUT's WONDERFUL PAINTING in this challenge and of course she's my pick of the day!
Armando, and all of you, have a great weekend~
Love, Light & Peace,
OLGA
The true challenge is the one Olga and Anneke started by their own. Seth Weawer wrote: "Great job... this is going to make it HARD for the other 12 artists!".
---I agree and not sure I'll post mine. hehe... :-))) I don't like to play the role of ridiculous guy:-))))
Thank you Olga. I also wish you and all participants a wonderful weekend. Here the sun shines. Meanwhile I'm working on the perfect storm for my new work "Costa da Morte".
Happy weekend!!!!
Finally the weather here is less hot (Last week we had our third heat wave, which last an other week; we went far over 40C with high humidity. Wow, then my studio in my basement is WONDERFUL & COOL!
I love your new one Armando, the brave women of Costa da Morte.. the westernmost stretch of Spain's north shore (which means rain....) What an evocative name for a remote and dangerous coast.
What a contrast from the white-sand beaches of the the Costa del Sol, celebrating the sun; and the Costa de la Luz, (extolling light) I've still in mind.
As your other challenge, the women are directly involved in the industry, selling the day's catch and other sea-related jobs. What an inspirational women! You make the glow, Armando!
BRAVO, you're kinda Ambassador of Spain at ArtWanted!
Love and Light~OLGA
You're the artist #14 involved in my world.
Amazing how you "translated" my sketcht into your unique style. Thank you for sharing your art with us.
But something didn't totally agree in my mind. As I see you drawing again... Do you notice your shapes and composition are valid for both sketches?
I did both drawings as part of a THEMATIC SERIES but TWO ISOLATED drawings. Your work established the well known link: the brave women are the ones selling the day's catch. Perhaps I perceived it in a subliminal way because I suddenly got the idea and "saw" the image in my mind. I didn't change anything: the placement of human forms, the boat... all.
Perhaps this could be a work for a psychologist. What do you think? :-)))
What an awesome design and great way to express the brave woman in both pictures. I am very much drawn to the subject of “the brave women of Costa da Morte” and I think you did such an excellent job, to to make it your own by expressing your feelings in your unique style~ !
You're just a great artist! I hope you'll download it at Artwanted web-site too!
