Yeah, I think the extra time is needed, considering the late start and many not knowing that the time to donate is here.

I know most of you are here all the time or at least alot more then some members.

I am confused, maybe I am the only one, maybe not.

When I came back to AW, it was because of the letter I was sent reguarding the charity. As I understood it, I was to vote for the charity I wanted, I did that and I was to donate a picture for the event, I did that too. I am not against giving money to deserving charities, however no one made mention that any money was involved.

I understood that the art we donated would be somehow sold/auctioned off to build up a fund to give to the choosen charity.

I guess what I am wondering is... whats going to happen to all the donated artworks?

Am I way off base here?

Additional information on the charity event...

We have added additional advertising about the charity event on the home page and on the members area summary page. We hope that more members will see this announcement and want to donate.

We have also added a 'donation graph' to the charity page that shows how much we have collected and how many donors have given to the event. For privacy reasons, we have decided not to disclose the names of those that have donated and the amounts of their donations, but they are known by our staff and we apprecaite those that have and will be donating to this charity event.

As for the images that were attached to the charity event, this year we do not have any plans to do anything with this artwork. If this becomes an annual event, then we may setup some type of art auction in the future, but we are not able to put something together for this year.

We again encourage everyone to donate to the charity event, even if it's only $0.99 - Every little bit helps and can go a long way to helping children around the world. Thanks!

Although I have had a really bad experience from so called Charities..and swore I would never get involved again..I have donated to this worthy cause..Thanks AW for giving me the shove up the Rear End into giving to less fortunate children around the world. Job done and I am pleased to help. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

Thanks AW for putting this on the front page! I feel that now, there will be some children who would not have recieve help will because of all of the work and gifts from these selfless members. That is what it is all about;)
