Lior Goldenberg 19 Aug 2007

Mark, maybe they just misinterpreted the results. Hopefully they will make adjustments according to the correct conclusion.

AW, I tip my hat to you!

Very nice to hear the results. I appreciate that you gave the survey plenty of time for input. You would have heard complaints that some would have missed it. Also grateful that you thought over the results and what actions to take or not. I'm looking forward to all the new changes and improvements. Glad to see so many positive responses. It appears some are upgrading their accounts as a result, this is more good news. Thanks so much AW!

I like the top ten however it would be great if you payed more attention that artists use the right gallery under which the upload their Art.

Carliss Mora 19 Aug 2007

I second, and third what Renate has suggested. Three times I have asked about why this weirdness is allowed to keep happening. What's the use of having categories if you can upload any media in any other category. Maybe it's done on purpose to get hits out of curiosity seekers.

Controlling the category that artists put their artwork in is a growing problem. We are not sure if people are doing it on purpose to try and get more hits, if they do it by mistake, or if they don't understand the difference in the categories.

We are looking for additional moderators that will be able to put peoples art in the right category if it has been labeled incorrectly, so we reduce the number of art in the wrong sections.

As for you point Lior, you are correct, this is a good observation that will be taken under consideration.

AW We are not kids,we are grown adults....EVERYONE knows where their work belong to...There is very little confusion maybe when it comes to mixed media....if the oil work is put into photography or vice versa..u know it its intentionaly and that needs to be no waste time DELETE....and send member email...to upload aagain in proper category...no waste of time on someone who does it intentionaly...use a time to a better avenues...

Lets say ART DRAWING...category.....how can someone put mixed media there....when that is not ......That is the reason why MIXED MEDIA should have their own category...i beleive MIXED MEDIA is the problem here....people think it belongs to art or photography while they should have their own category...

I beleive from what i have seen i the past there is need to aditional categories on AW

Thanks AW, I think this is the best decision, and look forward to the improvements.

All good things come to those who wait! :)

Lior Goldenberg 20 Aug 2007

Thanks for your reply AW.

ZAZ 20 Aug 2007

Glad to see the GB will be back, i loved reading all the good things others had posted.

Susan Epps 20 Aug 2007

Thanks AW......good decision !

I think that there should be more categories. I am so sick of people who put their paintings in the 3D rendering category. Fractals should have their own place too.

On the question: "should we increase the Top Ten to include more members?" Choices offered were "No - Top 20 -- Top 50 -- Top 100". This question was obviously asked in a way that "no" could not loose. Had it been asked: "yes" or "no" -61% of the membership's votes would have read a resounding "yes". The "no" vote won, only because the Yes vote was split. Most other questions were asked with a second part == e.g. - "If yes ----etc etc". Had you added a few more categories, you could have gotten an even larger margin.

I notice that the "yes" won on the General discussion Question; yet you found a way to turn it around to reverse the 2 point margin.

Not much has changed here, in the arena of politics.

Good observation Bob...that's the first thing I noticed. It always amazes me how things are twisted and turned to rationalize...
