Very interesting!

My mind is running rampant with "heating" ideas - a electric hair or craft dryer? I wonder if a crock pot would work to maintain a pliability?

Anway, really cool - thanks for the tutorial - looking forward to seeing more photos!

- Thanks Karen, Still a ways to go on it. I appreciate the praise though.

- Wendy ... you're un-bearably silly. How do you mean paint the idea ? Paint the bear sculpture ? Or paint the sculpture on canvas ? In the sculptorial style as a stylized painting or in my normal fairly realistic style of painting ? Please do explain ... I cannot bear not knowing.

- Pat, a hair dryer's not hot enough ... nor would a crockpot be. A crockpot takes a long time to heat up and you need to keep the cover on to not lose heat while warming things up ... just taking the cover off to try to pull off the bit around the edges that would be warm, would cause you to lose all the stored heat thereby taking a lot longer for it to heat up again.

A microwave would work I've been told by sculptors on a sculpting forum so I'll try it with my next sculpture. if I'm not happy with the results I'll stick to the oven. It worked well. Thanks for the suggestions though.

- Kiddolucas thanks. It's not finished yet though. I should have more photos up later this week.

Well I'm finally finished ... Or as finished as I'm going to be with it unless I get it cast in the future. Then I'll have to finish smooting out a few minor areas that will need it.

- Arturo, thank you .. I hope that you do try it and let us know how things worked out.

- Julie thanks, You know that if you never try it yourself that you aren't allowed to say that you can't.

- Terry, thanks .. The tutorial wasn't finished but now it finally is.

Here's a few pics.
