I purchased a calendar, but can't upload my image until 7/14 because I am having to retake the picture with a higher pixel count as you requested - is that a problem with getting my space reserved?

We have been researching the plastic easel since before the 2005 calendars. It's something that we would really love to have. We spoke with dozens of big calendar publishers and no one was willing to tell their supplier or to even sell them to us. We have spoke with plastic injection companies to have them make us a plastic easel, but it's not cost effective at the low volume that we are doing. It only makes sense if we were going to do 25-50 thousand calendars. If anyone wants to find a supplier for us that can do them at a low cost, low volume price, we will be happy to speak with them.

As such, we have to continue with the cardboard easel instead of plastic. However, we have a new design this year that is more sturdy and tilts the calendar at the perfect angle (around 30-degrees), so it is an improvement over last years calendar.

We don't know how many we will order this year. It will depend on how many are pre-ordered and how the ordering trend is in the fall. We don't want to have a ton of them left over so we will probably sell out again this year. We will order enough to fulfill all of our preorders for sure, but after this we don't know yet.

The distribution will be primarily done on ArtWanted.com and on the websites of our referral partners. We will look for other distributors to help promote the product and we welcome any other people that can get the calendar into other retail places. We will offer wholesale discounts to anyone that would like to purchase a big volume. Just have them contact us for details.

As for the note above, you don't have to upload an image before you purchase or reserve space in the calendar. We just suggest that you don't wait too long to upload your image.

AW I feel in a way that when u have people pay for the cal. ahead they r garented a spot but I feel its for people who have money, me and others dont have a c.c nor a paypal. its a little diskrimanating to me and most calenders and art gallers people dont pay to get in them there juged bye there talent not the money. ferther more thouse lets say take the 300 spots then the rest of us r to fight over the remaning 65 spots. there r alot as thay say starving artist and i would hate to c a awsome work that deserves a spot not to be put there becouse thay didnt buy a calender or not enuf room. I'm not talking just about me but others too.

and another thing how mony can u put in under 1 name, and y not pay a publisher to make a calender of all my work insted of baskly paying u for 1. soom people dont have that kind of money.

No payment is required to submit your artwork for the calendar.We do understand that some artists don't have any money and hope that not requiring a payment has helped some of you.

Well, done and done! I've ordered my calendar, submited my artwork, and selected my date! June 25th wasn't taken yet, and that's the day I got married on this year! :)

Looking forward to the calendar, AW! I'm excited because I kinda missed out on the deadlines for last year's (joined too late) so this is a whole new experience for me. Good luck with the project! :)

I uploaded my image - pre-ordered but was not sent a receipt - and I let the page disappear - - is a receipt emailed and how do we select the date - I would like December 31 if available

What size should the images be? The calendar page simply says "1200 pixels, RGB format". But, what is the HEIGHT? The calendar page is 4" tall, but how much of that is used by the image? And what about the DPI? I'm assuming 300 dpi since the width is 1200 pixels/ 4 inches, but is this accurate?

Also, I tried to send an e-mail to the [email protected] address last week and received no reply. I sent another e-mail this morning, but it was returned with the message "User mailbox exceeds allowed size: [email protected]".

I have just uploaded two images to be included in the calendar: a main image and an alternate (if there are spaces available).

My first choice for a date would be July 27. My second choice is Novemeber 30.

Got my submission for the next 2006 Art Wanted day calendar. I paid and I picked my date too, August 26th my birthday! Last years calendar I got my hubbies B-day cuz mine was taken.

My Husband has the calendar at his work, he likes to pull the page of each day and see whats new, and him and the ladies in his office keep the ones they like and stick them all over their work areas lol.

So Ill probably let him keep this next one as well. I uploaded a filler second image as well. I hope there are filler pages left like last time, I managed to sneek another page in there for the 2005.

Both my submissions are great in my opinion, it was hard to choose what one to be priority.
