I once traded artwork for veterinary services... :)

I was in the vet clinic, having my puppy neutered and vaccinated, when my vet (Bob) asked how my artwork was going. I happened to have some framed work with me (small ones... 8X10's mostly) so I went out and got them from my van...

I showed them to him, and he saw one he liked, the howling wolf "Solitude". He asked "So what's a picture like this worth? Say... the price of neutering and vaccinating a dog?" with a *wink*! And so, I walked out of there with my puppy looked after, and one less picture in my box! :)

I have traded a portrait of the veterinarian's children for extensive vet services for a show dog. The portrait was much appreciated, and so were the vet services!
