Beatrix Jahn 06 Mar 2010

hahahaha!!! But joking aside, they brought a short thing about the weather on TV and basically they said, that Germany will continue to have long cold winters in the extreem, as this season, and that out summers will be short but very hot! Go figure that! Will be interesting to see how the veggiation will change (if Im around that long). I think Ill go have an affair with a hot water bottle tonight! Have a good one, amigos! xox

Terry Bassett 06 Mar 2010

This is in my greenhouse but it is a volunteer! Oregon have been unusually warm this winter. My snow peas are up already and so is the spinich and lettuce! I think we will have a warm and wonderful summer, and I am hoping that is true all over! I am ready for flower and garden photos!

Enjoy your trip, Terry.

My daughter Gloria visited your country at least twice. One of them, she was "based" at Bournemouth.

jerry carlin 07 Mar 2010

Terry, my wife is English, be careful!

rebecca phillips 07 Mar 2010

My ancestors were English and Scot.

Beatrix Jahn 07 Mar 2010

No new snow here in southern Germany. It's cold, but there's not a cloud in the sky at the moment!

Hmmmm Im real suprised with the nationality stuff. As I remember, when living in the States and working for the US Army, there were 95% of the Americans with Irish blood in the ;-)))

Always laughed about that :-)))))))

Sun is shining bright. The temp made it to 65 degrees. Hooooooo hoo

Beatrix Jahn 08 Mar 2010

Yesterday afternoon we had some snow flurries. AND on TV they said, that another LOAD is to be expected Thursday and Friday.

I was wondering--------in Germany there is the fairytale about Frau Holle, who shakes her featherbeds up above, and makes it snow.

Is this known in the rest of the world?
