Sorry about the tomato crop in Florida, Terry. I will plant even more this year! Oregon is almost tropical My garden is started, lettuce, spinich and snow peas are all up and April 1st I will begin the tomatoes in my greenhouse! No snow here, Trixi.

Terry, my newspaper this morning says that one year ago a 25 pound box of tomatoes cost $6.50 and today it is $30.!!! So we will get them from Mexico! We don't manufacture anything and now we can't grow anything! Soon there will be no one left to pay taxes!

No need to be embarrassed Jerry.. It's gotten to the point, here in NC, where it's hard to find something that isn't made in China, or somewhere else abroad. It seems the US hardly manufactures anything these days.

Perhaps Armando can tell us if it's the same in Spain??..

I think it's getting to that stage already Jerry.. I see that NC is holding back payment of state tax rebates as they don't have the money.

This is going to make them even more strapped next year as individuals will reduce their withholdings. You simply can't survive with only a service industry and it's pretty much got to that stage as far as I can see..:-(
