I have a few ideas-- how about a "go green" themed contest with sculptures made from all recyclable and throw away items. The subject matter could be anything. The second idea-- baby artwork-- paintings/drawings/photography of newborns and infants. For Valentine's day, you could have "couples" drawings/paintings/photography of couples embracing or kissing. My last idea is portraying your ideas for the end of the world-- paintings, drawings etc., whatever-- the subject matter has to depict how you believe the end of humanity will come.

Really enjoy artwanted and all its members work. For photography, I would propose a contest that includes High Dynamic Range work, or composite work which involves several layers of images. Possible topics for photography:

street photography Black and white Motion landscape still life Lines Circles The color blue Emotion

Thanks much for being here!!! Danielle.

I really like the idea of the subject "light". This can be all sorts of art (photography, digital painting.. ...) nice idea for a contest?!

Hmmm, i just broswed through all the past contests. There was one "baby face" but nothing for "children" in general. Seems to me that would be a fun contest and would generate tons of smiles

How about a contest that portrays the hardships of credit and loan debt or just debt in general. We could ask everyone to make an image that they feel best depicts the financial burdens in their life.

I had an image I started a few months back in which a guy was sitting on the hood of a newish truck with reigns in his hand and with horses pulling the truck. He was pulling into a "gas station" that was actually a futuristic gas station in which the horses would be fuled up with carrots, water and hay rather than deisle, unleaded and regular gas which had become obsolete.

In honour of Charles Darwin's 200th birhtday on the 12th February, how about having a competition celebrating the diversity of life?

Or what about a category called "Endangered species" to raise awareness about animals on the edge of existence?

Have a contest for AW members that recently sold their art on AW. Only art sold through AW would qualify for the contest. Say, who ever sold art in the last month on AW. Would there be enough entries?

marlene burns 23 Feb 2009

how about a contest where others have to enter one of your pieces....we certainly would get to see a nice array of favorite pics.
