Armando, my handsome friend, So you hate my grey hair! Well, my wife of 47 yrs. loves it, and don't forget that now I'm hanging in there by a thread and no longer a rope...!!! Getting younger by the day...!! This is going to be my last writing since the thread is so long that it may reach Barcelona, so take care and always wish you lo mejor, Chavalon.

For what it's worth, this was my first reaction to the new design, without trying anything out: it looks very industrial to me, and speaks of factories and business, the "never mind aesthetics, if it works it doesn't matter how it looks" attitude; not the exciting kind of factory, but the grim, depressing kind. I showed my husband, also an artist - who HAS worked in the gritty business/factory environment - and he agreed, and also noted that the icons (under the Browse Special Artwork Sections, for instance) make him think of strip malls, not high end art galleries, or genuinely playful environments.

I DO like Madeleine Weber's design (7/22, 1:11 pm); the grey in her design looks much softer and warmer, and feels much more inviting to me. Just changing the background color, as she did, would make a big difference to me.

I wrote my first response (above) in an email to AW, before I had read any comments; I was absolutely floored to see how many people seemed to love it. (I did get a friendly response to my email - thank you, AW.)

We are still working on resizing all of the images on our site. It will probably take a few more days until every image has the same size, and then everything will be consistent for you.

RESIZING IMAGES---- What about the ones in the BLOG? My blog has a strange "look" now because of images size. It didn't happen before. If you can automatically resize the images, perfect solution. If not, can you please include an EDIT button?. I have a large Blog and to correct it I have to delete all and write/upload again.

Looks ok.....killed my hits.....killed my comments......killed any exposure gained through AW.....and so killed any chance of earning money from my AW portfolio!

I have just renewed, so I think I'll see the year out and then close down my portfolio.
