I like almost everything about the new ArtWanted look, it seems very User Friendly. But the more I looked at my own work , the more I realized that the colors don't "Pop" the way they used to, and I think its the dark grey background. Even with the small amount of white around the art piece, the dark grey seems to deaden the bright colors. I like the premise of the layout, everything is easier to navigate around, but that dark grey, I think it would be great for pencil work, pen and ink , but anything with color, nope, nope, nope. ; ) suzi

congratulations AW!!! i love the new look and new features! super!!! i found, however, a little difficulty to post images after i had posted 3. i have a free account, but since the limits changed, i went there to post some pieces. i uploaded one by one, then i realized i could make a multiple upload, so i did it, but then, when i add the uploaded image the page seems to be incomplete and nothing happens, i can't "interact" with the page.

Jeepers, I'm sure sorry you did this upgrade! Sorrier still I haven't–due to being so far behind on Mac's updates and upgrades that I'll never catch up–been able to upgrade my browser. Tried to download an OS update once that took so long I started it at midnight and was almost finished at about five a.m., when my fool ISP timed me out!

Someday I hope to buy a whole new computer–yeah right!–When I win the lottery. With the new AW page spreads I spend way too much time roaming halcyon fields of charcol gray with scattered islands of text blocks. Thought I wasn't going to find my portfolio at all 'cause I kept getting error messages, but finally those ended. Could you maybe engineer another website using the old stuff for doofusses [doofussii?] like me still stuck in the Stone Age?

Somebody indicated that she does not see as many comments after the infamous Top 10 disappeared and will not come back. I said this was going to happen since, with a few exceptions, some commented on every image they saw so that the receiver would reciprocate and thus they were always in the 10. Now the joke is gone, the joke consisting of "I do you and you do me" - also known as "I scratch your back and you scratch mine" - No more reason to comment on every image anymore, only on those who deserve it.

I'm very satisfied with the new changes AW has done. The problem simply consists on the fact that you cannot please everybody. AW is doing the best it can to please everybody and no matter how many changes they make, not everybody will be happy. So, thanks AW for what you have done and have one martini on me. Love your new site.

Minerve, Yes, I've been hibernating in the south. It's been very cold lately...!! No, I have nothing against comments, but what I disliked was to see people commenting on every image they saw just to be there. I think comments are great when they are sincere and the image deserves it. You're not going to see too many comments as before, because as you said: "the prize is gone" - That's all.

I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING ABOUT ANYONE LEAVING BECAUSE OF NO TOP TEN.????????? IF YOU ARE QUOTING ME, YOU NEED TO REREAD WHAT I WROTE. WHAT I SAID IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU SAID BERTE AND MINERVA. TAKE THE TOP TEN AWAY AND THE COMMENTS GO DOWN. I AM COMMENTING EXACTLY THE SAME AS I HAVE ALWAYS COMMENTED. PS DID YOU EVER THINK THAT COMMENTING ON EVERYONE'S WORK MAKES THE RECEIVER HAPPY? AND THERE IS DEFINITELY SOMETHING POSITIVE IN EVERYONES WORK. OPEN YOUR EYES AND YOUR MIND AND YOU WILL SEE THAT. EVERY PERSON'S WORK IS PRECIOUS TO THEM. SO WHY WOULD YOU FEEL THAT ONLY SOME SHOULD RECEIVE COMMENTS? IF IT TAKES THE TOP TEN TO GET PEOPLE WHO WON'T COMMENT OTHERWISE TO COMMENT, WHAT IS THE HARM IN THAT? IT MIGHT JUST MAKE A WHOLE LOT OF PEOPLE HAPPY WHO WOULDN'T OTHERWISE BE. Hi AW, Couldn't you just put the same site back up except the style change? we all loved the site the way it was..it was a lot of fun and we all had a sense of community.. i think we would be happier to have the site operating the way it did before july 15 th...i understand if the style is updated to a more modern look....my hits are way down, could you tell me why that is? is there less traffic on the site?..my comments are down as well...are things going to go back to normal ?...

Have not heard of anyone leaving AW because they no longer feature the infamous Top 10. On the contrary, I think some terrific artists have left AW because they received no recognition and have no time to comment. I'm simply happy that AW got rid of the 10. Now you can comment until you faint if you have the time to do it. As for me, I only comment when I see an image that really strikes me, and this happens not too often, especially now.
