WESTERN ARTWORK By Denny Karchner 15 Apr 2006

I am going to take a "#2" as ArtWanted should...let the "ArtWanted Enema" begin.

jennifer blenkinsopp 15 Apr 2006

Well said Katerina,----I have already give what I feel is the only solution for discussions getting out of control, and nasty remarks being said of other members that is to monitor these boards, but if AW decides NOT to appoint two moderators, (no 2) is the only way .

Cathie Brock 15 Apr 2006

Number 2 wont work!!!

If for instance you feel something passionately enough, and respond

Then certainly what will happen is you will become the trouble maker!!!!!

Cathie

Linda Nelson 15 Apr 2006

I can tell the difference between passion and troublemaking. They are not the same thing.

Ric Strange 15 Apr 2006

have fun , and good luck -

jennifer blenkinsopp 15 Apr 2006

Who are you on about Ric?.

Cathie Brock 15 Apr 2006

Again this is not about personal attacks, but getting along with the people that really matter on this site...

Bringing up past arguements at this stage are not rellevent to this thread...Cathie

Ric Strange 15 Apr 2006

bahhhh, bahhhhh .....bahhhh

Chris Hoffman 15 Apr 2006

Katerina it is good to see you back here, you said it pretty well there...

Jessica Morgan 15 Apr 2006

Past arguments are relevent very much so. Why? Because the same thing is going to happen again, unless there is some moderation and banning...this is my opinion... What Katerina says is true, I agree with her outlook 100%, we are ALL going to have to agree to disagree, NOT argue...but some do not know when to leave well enough alone. Continue to irritate, mock and well...verbally attack yes. You may be suprised, you may not, but those things really have been said to Katerina,,( alot of others work too)and if you think those actions are right...that is very, very sad. AW is not in the dark...they can tell the difference between a heated discussion(agree to disagree and stop throwing nasty remarks) and an all out nasty fight(nasty, hateful, conceited, hurtful remarks)WE ALL CAN.

My question is simply this:

When will someone with an oposing opinion and a "trouble maker" become the same?

There isnt a standardized basis for what constitutes "trouble Makers" I think this thread has beautifully illustrated that there are some who "dont like" other members and would deem them troublemakers because they simply say what they feel, there isnt a sickly sweet coating on their words or they didnt start the sentance with "now dont take offense " they just say it and that takes guts in my book.

Model these forums after real life...

for instance, if you have a job, do the employees pick who gets fired?do they choose to reprimand? no they don...the bottom line is you AREN'T going to like or agree with everyone or everypoint on the threads but dont you see thats what makes them worthwhile???

Linda Nelson 15 Apr 2006

I haven't gotten the idea everyone has to agree on everything. Someone's right to have their own ideas isn't in question.

BTW, I thought I was blocked...hmmm?

Philo T. Fenstermacher 15 Apr 2006

Why would they "ban" Wilford Brimley?

invisible 15 Apr 2006

They wouldn't ban ol' Wilford, he's a REAL cowboy......hey...that's amazing...you actually sat on this thread all day just to get a screenshot and SAVE it... AMAZING! (someone needs a life!)

This thought came in my mind which I want to share with my AW Family members and reqest their comments. Often we attach these values ("SIN" or "GOOD WORK") to various activities of our life and designate some as "SIN" and some as "GOOD WORK". But the mystery is that there is absolutely nothing as "SIN" or "GOOD WORK" !! You will definitely ask : HOW ?? Let me describe a situation. Say, you are relaxing at your residence and calmly watching a beautiful butterfly resting at the wall of your room. Suddenly you find a big lizard approaching the beautiful butterfly and is about to catch it. What would you like to do ??

(I) You may some how drive the beautiful butterfly away and save its life. (II) You may drive the lizard away and save the life of the butterfly. (III) You may not do anything and simply watch the happening.

In general we shall designate the option (III) as an activity leading to "SIN" and options (I) or (II) as an activity leading to gain "GOOD WORK". There is another perspective !!! It is true that in options (I) and (II) you will save the life of the beautiful butterfly but at the same time you will snatch the food away from a hungry creature of this very nature and should it lead you to what we think as "GOOD WORK" ?? I am also not saying that option (III) is correct. . In fact all the options mentioned above are equally correct. What I basically want to mean that we should not assign the label of "SIN" or "GOOD WORK" to any activity. We have to simply do our "DUTIES" and WE SHOULD NEVER HARM ANY BODY KNOWINGLY AND SHOULD NOT EVEN THINK OF DOING HARM TO ANYBODY.
