Hello

Just new to Artwanted but I love it.

Idea for contest.

The five elements.

Make art which includes at least two of the 5 elements (earth, water, fire, sky/air, energy/soul).

Kind regards Betty

ps the spherical in my photos always represent the soul/energy/spirit.

Hi Artwanted staff, How come no active contests since october 2007? There are plenty of ideas on this thread. Here are my ideas:

1. Folk art from around the world 2. Holiday season 3. Polar/Snow landscape

Hope to see some contests soon. - Parul Airen

Maybe I am a bit biased (though I paint in many styles and mediums) as I have a site specialising in Celebrity Portraits - specially musicians as that is my other passion! How about a competition for the most original portrait of a music or film star??? Have you had one yet? Damyan www.celebritystarportraits.com

Sorry I forgot to add a sample portrait and also sya that in a post on a forum is it not more logical and easier to have the most recent posts appear at the top and read down to the older posts below?? Thanks Damyan

What about this:

1) Cultural Heritage - dig deep and find your roots. Would be GREAT to see what the different cultures around the world is and how it is interpreted!!!!!!!!!

2) Depiction of your dream home. - Everyone wants a wonderful place to go home to. With this contest they can design their dream home.

3) A self portrait of you as a kid (age 2 to 5 years old) - Would be a wonderful memento for our dear ones to have as keepsake.

4) A portrait - showing the subject at age 10, at age 20 and age 30 (40,50). In other words, portray the person in three stages.

5) Florals : Roses - Since roses are my favourite, I would certainly love to see a competition where I can submit my work.

Does anyone read these suggestions? So many to pick from. Lots of success with your final decision!

Regards Mariaan

I think a good idea was mentioned before.... it was the one about the angels described in the scriptures. I believe that would be a great contest. ^_^

How about the title "My favorite place"! Have a few catagories of artwork to choice from. It could be a painting of a walk in the park or a photo of your favorite swimming hole or a black/white drawing of your unmaid bed, just whatever is your favorite place!
