Best thing about my weekend was the NFL play-offs. Going to hate it when football is over. The valley below is getting hammered with very strong winds and surprisingly we haven't seen any of it. Basically the same forecast as yesterday. Mid 70's and sunny. I'd love to move, but we're spoiled by So Cal weather.

we were in the 80s last week in az, but even that was unseasonably warm....usually in the low 70s, like this week....heavenly winter, shining sun and clear, blue skies. the full moon was fab last night, btw.

I deleted my first message. (by mistake) I am updating that message. We have had a blizzard here in the Northeast. I'm guessing right now we have about a 1/2 of a foot of snow. The schools here in the area were all closed, Thank goodness for the weekend for i'm sure they would have had another snow day tomorrow...But they lucked out..... Until next time Enjoy your weekend.

Well Mother Nature waited long enough to bring the snow. and it has not stopped. The Temps have been very cold. As iIm writing this I glance up at the temp. on my computer. at 7 degrees. All I can say is it is winter now .I have a picture .

RQ Trietsch 21 Jan 2012

I think winter has forgotten us here is "So Cal" Today's forecast is 58, breezy and rain, which it's doing this morning.

Martha Miller 21 Jan 2012

My temps got up to 39 degrees today. They are predicting warm temps for tomorrow and even warmer temps for monday. This crazy weather, Enjoy your weekend where ever you live in our world.

I don't know what kind of weather you all are having in your part of the country...........But I'm completely beside myself with mine. I'm sure we will all pay for this beautiful weather dearly. The fruit trees will start to grow and then we will get hit with terrible weather to kill them. Can you say high prices for fruit. Personally I think the Northeast will pay for it with blizzards next winter. I can't wait. All I will say at this point is.............I will pray long and hard that i'm completely wrong........You never get something for nothing.

How true Martha. We have a fair share of birds right now going into springtime mode

So far our winter has been quite nice as we seldom get bad ones, just rain and rarely snow. Most of this week has been in the high 60's and mid 70's. Love it!

RQ Trietsch 12 Feb 2012

Got a tad bit of winter cold (So Cal standards) and a surprise rain last night. But suppose to warm up to 62 today before the rains return.

Martha Miller 12 Feb 2012

We are starting to get snow. We get snow overnight ,..but it is usually gone by early afternoon. It has been so unseasonably warm here ,that my flowers are starting to grow. I shudder to think of all the fruit trees. Perhaps Spring is going to come sooner this year. Have a great Sunday ,where ever you live in our great world.

RQ Trietsch 13 Feb 2012

Our 62 and sun never happened. Grey and 48 yesterday. Today's forecast is for 56-58 with showers...doubt the temp will make 50 again today Cold for So Cal.

Martha Miller 13 Feb 2012

Yesterday was a lovely sun shinny day. I did'nt check the temps but my furnace only came on a few times. My temps sound a lot like yours RQ. I will check them later today.Have a wonderful day my friends....

Well we had a blizzard on friday and sat. I was sure we were going to get snowed in,. Here it is Monday and near 60 degrees. you really have to look to find any of the snow we just got. ,I also noticed our trees are starting to bud out. well i think Spring is going to be early.lol

RQ Trietsch 28 Feb 2012

I hear you on the early spring Martha. Totally surprised yesterday, the weather person actually got it right. Light showers in the morning. Rain about 2pm and snow early evening. Right on all occasions Not typical for us this time of year. Still have about an inch on the ground, but that should be gone by noon. Today's forecast, 54-57 and mostly sunny. Warming trend to 75 by the weekend .

Martha Miller 28 Feb 2012

I'm still waiting for mother Nature to lower the boom.I just can not believe she does not have something in store for us sometime, Dang I hate surprises!

Rain, Rain and more RAIN! but pleasant temps here in North Florida....beautiful liquid sunshine. Azalea's starting to bloom along with dogwoods, spirea and wisteria. On the wild side we have yellow jasmine and wild mustard, redbud trees and the red leaves of silver maple all gearing up for spring. Had to use AC in my car today. Sorry about your snow storms. We have been getting some March winds already this leap year day. So much clouds makes me miss my solar pot.

Martha Miller 01 Mar 2012

Hi Minny. We have had rain since early last evening. needless to say the snow is long gone.It is raining quite heavy right now the Owasco inlet is about to go over it's banksI can't beleive that the Northeast is below the water table. Your part of the world sounds lovely..getting ready for Easter. Your flowers should be in full bloom by then. The Tempture is 45 degrees here at 8:30am The forcast is predicting 55 degrees come saturday Well where ever you are in our world. Have a glorious day.

This weird weather we're all getting and the mid-west with all the tornadoes (out of season) sure makes me appreciate So Cal weather. Now to transplant the So Cal attitude of most of the people to a deserted island. Wouldn't that be nice. I miss the laid back attitude of up north New Hampshire Today is the start up, again of another warming spell. 61 today and possibly 80 by the weekend.

RQ Trietsch 03 Mar 2012

Conflicting reports as usual. Computer calling for 69 but the TV people are saying mid 70's. The high & lower desert were getting hammered with high winds. Luckily we live in a protected area. Rain in the forecast by mid week. This warm winter and low jet stream is really making the weather radical, especially for the south and mid-west.

Martha Miller 12 Mar 2012

We have had days of nothing but rain, warm temps but lots of rain. one night it actually turned into snow. But as has been the norm it was gone by 1:00p.m. Today here in the Northeast the temps are warm but it is overcast,I'm not complaining ,,,,,I'll take as many of these days as I can get.Get out and enjoyb this beautiful day.........Hugss
