beautiful pets you all have. here is my 9 year old pom , she has decided to be a mom, to something other than a kitten, she has never had pups because she would not bred, however threw the years she would steal every kitten born here and try to nurse them, weird i know but she makes a wonderful Nanny...LOL

This is our cat named Velcro....He loves sleeping on my sons stereo speakers...I guess he is into hip/hop because as loud as the speakers are Velcro just hangs onto the speaker and sleeps ..He started doing this when he was tiny but as you can clearly see he has outgrown the speaker... love Lilia in Dallas

This is my beautiful Black Labrador Bailey, he came to us from a rescue centre just over a year ago and has turned into an absolutely wonderful family dog.

As you can see, he loves water!!

RQ Trietsch 13 Jan 2009

That's what I love about Labs.

Surprised I've never owned one.

A picture of my cat "Merry Christmas", I found her as a kitten on a cold, rainy December night (hence her name) along a busy hwy. She is an eight year old calico and has been a great cat, although a little aggressive at times but I assume that's just the wild side of her so I give her some space when needed.

A recent photo of her playing in her box and she plays for keeps!

Hi every one! This is my latest photo mosaic. it is of my dog Abby. It is compossed of 4,032 photo cells, each of the photos were taken by me, and adjusted mathmatically with algorithims and put to gether by hand one photo at a time. This mosaic took 88 hours to complete. It is 24 x 36". The photo cells are photos of all the pets in my immediate family over the last 10 years.

RQ Trietsch 28 Feb 2009

Man that sounds like a lot of work.

Michael Easter 01 Mar 2009

This mosaic is 24" x 36" and is of my dog Nina. It is composed of 4,032 photo cells. Each placed one by one and all photos were taken by me. This mosaic took 87 to complete. nina died Feb 7th 2008 at 13 years old from renal failure. It was THE BIGGEST LOSS OF MY LIFE! She was my baby!

Allways in my heart, thoughts, and prayers Bella Roo!! I LOVE YOU!

The photo mosaic of my dog Abby above is done with the very same photo cells, however the color varience is what is different, so is the trancparence diffision level.

This is Jasper, he is from 1 street over from mine. He roams the neighborhood in the spring and summer. He belongs to my friend Donna. He has since died of a stroke in February 2009. He would come over and goe into my back yard gardens and hang out allday with my dogs Nina and Abby. Sometimes would even just stay the night over because he didn't feel like going back home. Seriously he knew his own way home back to her house, and how to get to mine.

I am working on a project that would include everyones photos from this thread. It is a photo mosaic of all the pets on this thread from The start of the very first post till today at 12 noon ( 3/5/09) I will create a general email and send it to every one on here asking for their permission first. Once completed if I have no opposition I wil place it up here on the this thread only!!! It will list all of the names of the people who placed their photo in it on here also. I will create a certificate of Authenticity for it as well. And then if any one who participated on it would like a free 16 x 20 print of it, (because that will be the smallest I will be able to print that will allow for the photo cell details) I will send a FREE print to you!

So here goes it.. I am off to generate the email now.

let me know what you think! To see some examples of the mosaics of my works check out my site www.artwanted.com/nabeaster or check out My photo Mosaic thread in both the Photography, and Art Discussion sections of the forum.

Michael Easter 05 Mar 2009

Ok step one done...45 emails were sent to all those listed on this thread. I could not get an email to the following - because: 1.Theresa Durant - doesn't have here email here listed. 2. Phil Garber - not found when I hit his AW link. 3. Philip Levy- not found when I hit his AW link.

I will keep you posted on the next step getting everyones email back with either a yes or a no.

Then it goes tomy studio for color prioritizing and body or object prioritizing.

Then finally to the printers and the post office and to you!

Michael Easter 06 Mar 2009

Ok guys I recieved 9 of the 45 permission forms back so far. Next Pat will pick her favorite image form the thread and we will use that image for the main source image of the mosaic.

Once I have recieved all of the 45 permission slips back I will start the mosaic. I will send reminders of the permission slips out on Sunday if I do not have them all back by then.

I will keep ypu posted.

RQ Trietsch 07 Mar 2009
