Original Post: New ArtWanted.com RSS Feeds

ArtWanted.com is happy to announce the new 'RSS Feeds' feature of our site! We have created a custom RSS feed for each of our members and several general RSS feeds that contain ArtWanted.com information.

RSS is a standard Internet format for delivering regularly changing web content. It currently stands for 'Really Simple Syndication'. Many news-related sites, blogs, podcasts and other online publishers syndicate their content as an RSS feed to whoever wants it. You will notice RSS content on the web by the orange 'broadcasting' logo.

If you are new to RSS, be sure to read this entire post to see the benefits this technology gives to you. Here is a brief overview of our new RSS feeds:

1) ArtWanted.com Artist Feeds

We have created a custom RSS feed for every member of ArtWanted.com! This feed displays the ten most recent images you have posted, and your ten most recent blog entries (Premium Membership required for blogs). Those that are interested in your work can subscribe to your personal RSS feed and be notified when you have new images or make a new blog entry. This system is even better than the ArtWatch feature, because you see thumbnails of the 10 most recent images that have been posted by that artist and can read their blog whenever new content is posted.

To view/subscribe to any artist's RSS feed, simply click on the orange RSS button on their portfolio page. RSS feeds help people stay connected with their favorite artists and bring additional exposure to everyone's portfolio.

2) ArtWanted.com News - http://www.ArtWanted.com/rss/news.cfm

This feed contains all of the updates and news about ArtWanted.com. You no longer need to dig through pages of message board posts to see what our staff has posted, or wonder when something new has been added to our site. As a subscriber to this 'news' feed, you will always be the first to know when new things are added to ArtWanted.com

3) ArtWanted.com Contests - http://www.ArtWanted.com/rss/contests.cfm

This feed contains a list of the 10 most recent art/photo contests on ArtWanted.com - Several new contests are posted each month. You no longer need to wonder when a new contest is added to our site. Simply subscribe to this feed and you will be notified on the day any new contests are posted to our site.
