Hi,
I just joined the "Animal Connection". I hope this will bring more traffic to my site.
Any one who wants to feature my copyrighted, colorful art in a Widget please let me know.
Thanks,
Carol L.
We are excited to see the great participation from our members in our new Artist Groups area so far. In less than two weeks, we already have over 150 groups created by our members.
We encourage all ArtWanted.com members to join or create a group of the artwork/photography they are interested in, so this area of our site continues to grow and expand.
We also wanted to let everyone know we have added a few extra things to the groups pages today...
1) GROUP SEARCH
At the top of the main groups page, you can now type in a keyword search for any group name or keyword found in that group. This search allows you to filter the list of groups to just the topic you are interested in viewing.
If you are going to be creating a new group, be sure to use our group search feature to make sure no other groups already exist for the group you want to start.
2) GROUP SORTING
On the main groups page, you will notice that the headers in each table are now click-able. If you click on the header of the table, you will be able to sort the list of groups by that column. You can now quickly see which groups have the most members, images, posts and when they were created.
3) LAST VISITED DATE
For each of the groups you belong to, we also now record the date you last visited that group in your 'My Groups' section. This feature allows you to quickly see the last time you visited the group and remind you to check out the groups you haven't been to in a while.
4) GROUP REMOVAL
At the very bottom of each group summary page, you will see a section titled 'My Group Info'. This section displays the date you joined, your last visit to the group and also gives you a link to remove yourself from that group if you wish.
If you remove yourself from the group, all of the images you have posted to that group will be removed from the group images page (but not your portfolio). Any group posts you have made will still remain, so that the flow of that discussion is not altered. If you remove yourself from a group, you can always come back at a later time and re-join the group if you change your mind.
Again, we are happy to see everything that is going on with the artist groups and we hope to see many more images, posts and groups from our members. Here is a direct link to our groups page for everyone. You can also get to the groups from the 'Community' and 'Browse' main sections of our site.
